Hello, I got back to the game after a long break and while im getting the grasp of all the bs that one shots me, something I cant figure out are nameplates. Either I just turn all of them on and if I meet demo lock, hutner or anybody who has the blob necro minions etc, I just cant see anthing or I turn it off and I cant see the important totems…is there a way to show totems or even main enemy pets without having the entire screen cluttered by random bs nameplates?
With AdvancedInterfaceOptions you can enable/disable nameplates of totems, pets, minions and guardians freely. Go to CVar browser, type in “nameplates” and adjust the values (0 or 1).
With TidyPlates - and probably loads of other nameplate addons - you can disable nameplates of any unit by simply typing in the name. Go to “Filter by unit name”, add stuff like:
Healing Stream Totem
Wild Imp
Army of the Dead
Dreadstalker
Dire Beast
Greater Earth Elemental
Greater Fire Elemental
Primal Earth Elemental
Primal Fire Elemental
Rattling Mage
Kevin’s Oozeling
Thanks for the answer! While I dont use tidy plates, in Threat plates there is the same option. I just make specific plates for every single enemy minion/pet. It looks like a horrible evening before me, but if it works, its awesome. Google actually suggested me some old Bajheeera’s profile, so I think I will start with that and adapt it to what I need. Thanks again for the suggestion!
I have turned on nameplates for enemies only, but for all of them. And yes, playing vs demo is aids, but I feel like you get used to ignoring the pet nameplates and I rather keep track of the totems and stuff via nameplates, aswell.
i would recommend installing plater and either configuring a profile from scratch to suit your needs, or downloading one from wago.io
and making the changes you want
plater is the best nameplate addon because you can change everything, albeit somewhat more time consuming
Thank you. You have a good point. I can download already done profiles on plater unlike threat plates. I will look into it.
I just use an extremely customized Elvui, it has all options related to nameplates.
Do you rly use elvui for pvp? I always liked the look of elvuis, but I never in managed to make it pvp friendly, like seeing all I need to see in pvp. I usually ended up on something that cant be done and would hinder my specific pvp needs. Do you mind posting it?
how does that work i have threatplates and i cant find that option?
He uses tidy plates. You have threat plates. In TP I think the best way is to use custom nameplates and setup these for your needs.
Ive never used ThreatPlates so I dont know if you can do it there. You can however use AdvancedInterfaceOptions if you wanna enable/disable pets, totems, guardians and minions independently.
