I went to class hall but i only had ! for suramar… i don’t understand do i have to complete everything else before i get highmountain quest or?
Think you need to have done the Highmountain storyline in that zone. You’d want to do that anyhow as you definitely need to be exalted with Highmountain and that storyline gives a lot of rep.
You can unlock the Highmount Taurens on an Alliance character if you’ve already done that storyline (and gained a lot of rep) already on an Ally.
Gram is right. You need to complete Highmountain and get Exalted with the race.
If you have not taken any quests with them, you should be able to pick up the starter from the Scouting Map in your class hall, not from an NPC.
Unlocking Highmountain Tauren
The requirements for unlocking the Highmountain Tauren Allied Race are as follows:
Battle for Azeroth: You must have the Battle for Azeroth expansion purchased.
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough Achievement: This requires completion of the Highmountain storyline, which should take a few hours to complete. Reference the Highmountain Overview and Leveling Path Guide if you need assistance with any quest.
Exalted Reputation with Highmountain Tribe: Highmountain Tribe reputation can be attained mostly while completing the campaign step, while the rest of the reputation needs to be obtained via Highmountain World and Emissary quests, and using reputation items like Highmountain Tribe Insignia. Reference the Highmountain Tribe Reputation Guide for details on how to reach Exalted as quickly as possible.
Allied Races: Highmountain Tauren: You must then complete a special recruitment quest which demonstrates why the Highmountain Tauren have decided to join the Horde and expands a little more on the story from Spiritwalker Ebonhorn.
I’m not 100% sure here but I think OP is asking how to start the questline in Highmountain, not where to start the questline for unlocking the race.
If that’s the case and there’s nothing on the scouting map and no quest marker on the Highmountain map, try checking Krasus’ Landing in new Dalaran, if Khadgar is there talking to a Highmountain Tauren then take the quest there.
It’s worth a shot, but if Daedpool started that line, we don’t know how far he went down it.
https://www.wowhead.com/quest-completion-tracker is giving me a “Not Found” error when I try for him. Also https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/completed-quests-checker
He can track that himself in-game quite easily. If there’s no quest in his quest log then the next quest in the chain will appear as a quest marker on his map when he’s looking at the zone.
