Guys I need help. I am very very frustrated at this point.
As soon as I faction changed from Horde to Aliance I wanted to start the Winterspring frostsaber Grind, but I cant and I do not know why! I already wrote tickets and got responses saying the cannot tell me, to not spoil the exploration (which is cringe af to me).
Also I am not able to find a single guide that deals with my issue:
The problem is that Rivern just doesnt give me ANY quests to being with. I am 0/3000 and I am not able to pick up any quests. Has anybody ever encountered this?? Maybe this is a faction change bug that Blizzard hasnt detected??
You got response from a robot probably.
If you got Venomhide Ravasaur as horde then it should convert to Tiger. That being said rep grind should still be open. Imo just spam tickets until you get human to respond and then spam some more to get human that actually knows something about the game (because first one will just give you a link to wowhead and close the ticket xd)
Can someone else share the quest with you?
Have you done the pre-quests in town?`
I had to do a bunch of garbage quests in the town or at the elf hut (i cant remember which) before i could take the quest. I don’t know if it is supposed to work like that but it did for me.
The Winterspring Frostsaber is my favourite mount of the game, and I’ve done the grind the moment I have hit 80, back in October when I got back to the game. Hope the following will help with the extensive grind it requires.
Up along the wrong, at Frostsaber Rock, Rivern Frostwind stands tall at the top of the rock, and will give you quests that upon return will earn you reputation with him. I believe you only get one ( or two ) quests initially, and unlock a third later on. It’ll take a while…
The main process is quite simple : get all three quests and move towards the villa while killing bears and chimeras along the way, kill all bears at the villa and don’t wait for respawn, move all the way down the road to kill the giants ( first a few ones at the top, then jump down, ) and once this quest is completed make your way up making sure you kill remaining mobs. Deliver quests, rinse, and repeat.
I did this on my mage, so setting the heartsone in Winterspring helped with the process. If not a mage, you might have another way to get back to Dalaran, such as the ring or scroll, or wormhole. Anythingthat can speed up movement is also a great bonus ( rocket boots, for example. ) And having some survivability at hand too, in case you want to jump down to the giants valley. At level 80 the mobs will be pretty easy to kill, but you might find some competition with people leveling ( or also grinding the reputation. )
I can’t tell exactly how much it took me, as I was grinding a few other reputations at the same time. But I do remember having a day off mid-week and using 3-4h of my day to grind while there wasn’t much competition.
Hope this helps, and good luck with the grind !
Problem is he/she dont get the starting quest
