Didn’t he actually get carried to 2.1 on it by that rogue who played the oneshot spec? I watched his stream when he queued with that guy.

It shows that Whaazz, a 3600 rated player got carried by a 2800 (and many argue that his experience is actually less than that, since he only hit 2800 using the oneshot build) rogue. Which shows that it’s possible, and disproves the point about it being impossible that a lower player carries a higher player’s alt.
The argument was NEVER about if a r1 can get carried or not. It’s like saying Mr. Olympia can’t lift heavy because he didn’t bring his weights back after lifting.
The argument was about a scenario IF Whaazz (using him just as example) was playing an alt with low cr with a random player who has higher cr, it would be still Whaazz the ones who carries.
By your definition of boosting Whaazz would be the one who is getting carried by the worse player, simply because he is lower cr at that time, absolutely ignoring his player skill level, knowledge, awareness, timing and most important him actually leading the match and making the calls.
Except during that stream Evis (a lower-exped player) definitely did carry him by doing the oneshot shadowstrike openers on people.
I think that overall ladder and gearing needs overhaul but since we are on the bottom of the expenses priority list it’s not likely to happen.
I think they just need to get rid of MMR and just make win +25 and lose -25 like in Dota and matchmaking based on CR. Then add that every person can play with people with only 2 ranks up or below and boosting problem solved.
In terms of gearing - WoD solution or just make the difference between ranks smaller. The fact that each bracket is 7 ilvl difference is a bit sick.
Even OW, their own game has this.
Not sure why it isn’t in wow yet, so simple solution. 150-200 cr±, normally people invite with 100-150cr± anyway from LFG so for them it wouldn’t change a thing.
This and/or a required weekly win for upgrading gear in the certain bracket.
It still doesn’t change the argument. You are basically arguing about if boosting is possible in WoW in general. I don’t.

the problem is that i don’t feel like dying in this lousy arena pubbing. it goes up and down, up and down, up and down. I’d rather hit my head against the wall all day. i just want to play battleground, but the 10s are unbalanced as f***. all i have done the last few weeks was 20 minute queues for the epic bgs. You can also queu as a mercenary for 2-3 minutes but then you lose 70% of the games as a blue potato. 2400 rating is impossible to achieve and otherwise you just don’t have maxgear in pvp. subscription canceled. then I’ll wait another 3 years, maybe maybe …
But I could bite my a$$ at having invested money again. the next time I leave the euphoria in my pants and get the information beforehand.
