When I click on my BattleNet profile in the app, I see Connected to: Europe. My app language is set to English UK. I have my main account (EU) selected in the WoW Game Version and Account. And yet, when I click on a Store ad (e.g. to buy a sub) I am taken to a US purchase page in dollars. Recently this led to an accidental purchase, which Blizzard fortunately agreed to refund “as an exception”. But why is this an exception when the app’s settings are so obtuse?
Ingame, if I am logged into my EU account and click on a support link to restore a deleted item, the link sends me to a US page, and I would have no way of knowing that it had done so if I didn’t check the URL. This is even if I am logged into my account in my browser (Edge) which has the English UK language setting.
It appears to use your web-browser language setting to decide where to send you (eu or us). So try changing your web browser from en_US to en_UK, then clear all your cookies, and see if that fixes it.
If that doesn’t work, then I suggest you bookmark the online store pages directly into your browser.

Thanks, I did already try those workarounds for the browser, but they don’t work. The only one that seems to work (temporarily) is scrolling down to the bottom of the landing page and changing the language to EU. However, that setting does not seem to persist and can easily change back to US.
As for the app, switching to the Beta has somehow reset (??) the region / transaction currency to the correct one (UK - GBP).

If you’ve already tried changing the language settings and it’s still redirecting to the US region, chances are that your geolocation is taking precedence and you’re in a region assigned to use USD.
I understand it might not make sense in every case, but all things considered this is probably preventing more mistakes than it’s causing and if it’s something you run into frequently you might want to just bookmark the EU region shop so you can go there directly.
