Gnomes are know geniuses. But I’m genuinely confused about what you just wrote.
Be confused no more ! See those ghouls ? You will become one of them don’t worry about your intellect it wil remain as it is !
Smart ghouls
I’m in!
Where do I sign up?
Zombie event full on, total apocalypse, people crying and running, complaining on forums.
Same time me whole week:
sitting in barbershopchair testing all hairs over and over again.
They don’t face mask, one way or another they are 6 feet distanced
Don’t go into the tunnels, there is a reason they are zombie free…the dwarves delved too greedily and too deep…they awoke something in the darkness…shadow and flame.
Well i’ve gone to shooting practice a bit in the past so if a zombie apocalypse ever happend i’d be good with a rifle.
Fair enough, you’re in. You’re not scared of massive vultures and birds of prey are you, as there’s loads of those around the castle as well…
curious what did the dwarves awaken ?
What if zombies appear only after climate catastrophe?
And not just regular heating waves, but solar impulse which will dismantle magnetic shield of earth and you lose your memory!
What’s then, how would you prepare?
Asking hypothetical ofc, I am not mad
BOOK’s man…BOOKS!
A good quality paperback version of something useful.
For fiction and LARPing (that’s you, brig ) the zombie apocalypse handbook, or something home made with hand written looking notes and coffee stain rings.
For reality, maybe a bush survival guide, SAS handbook (those can come realy small, picked one up at Oxfam size of an old HDD lol)
Paper does not run out of RAM, battery life or get a cracked screen lol.
Just make sure not to break your only pair of glasses, after you become the last person on the planet (just remember to turn off the Sun before you quit the game of life lol)
I guess I would need to find one of the books for lil children who study the alphabet…
But how would I know how to pronounce the letter?
I wouldn’t not have any working electronic device so I couldnt play the sound of any language
May be some book which shows tongue and teeth positions and air direction when human speaks, are there any books like this?
Ragnaros the Firelord!
okay now thats interesting
Slowly rocks back and forth
Not the garrisons again…anything but being stuck there again…
They are called Forsaken
Now if you’ve read Max Brooks’ Zombie survival guide, you must, surely have read the book he wrote afterwards, ‘World War Z’. No, don’t think the film, the only thing the film has in common with the book is the title and the fact that the main character is a UN official. (I mean the film is not bad actually, but it has nothing in common with the book really)
World War Z is about a UN historian visiting and interviewing people from all across the world, about their experiences of the global pandemic of …well Zombies…and how their various nations survived it, about ten years after the Zombie War ended. Through it you get a story from the original breakout, to the Psychological aspects it took on people, to how the British learned to love their castles and use them again, to the heartbreaking tales about the K-9 handlers and their dogs, the war under the waves, How celebrities failed to realise that streaming their lives of relative safety online in the earlier days meant that people might go “I’m going to break into that compound to get away from this” to the eventual stories where the War was ‘Over’ and the horrible impact on those children who had grown up to the sounds of a Zombie’s groan as a threat sign, all written as a series of chapter length interviews.
In fact stop what you are doing right now, look up Max Brooks’ “World War Z” on Amazon. Do yourself a solid favour and buy a copy if you haven’t already got a copy.
You will not regret it.
I think I have that handbook, yeah
I remember something about ancient mummy zombies and pots, and it being dormant for thousand years in some areas…maybe a Russian or China outbreak in the 1990’s and such.
I’ve seen the movie. Impressed by the zombie pyramid strategy.
Pissed myself laughing when I saw Peter Capaldi in it and listed as WHO Doctor in the credits. As if somehow I knew it was going to be the other way around…or maybe I just thought, even back then, he had the talent for it.
Wanted to slap everyone for not working out the zombies were ignoring the sick and dying lol. (Yes, even yelling at the screen. I was banned from cinema ever since the last LotR movie because I’m too mouthy at the screen lol. Tho its more of a self ban than an actual ban. I just enjoy arguing with the screen too much XD)
If it turns up in a charity shop, I’ll pick it up. Thanks for the recommendation.
Genuinely chilling…
You are more than welcome, it is a fantastic read, and one that you can, and I have re-read several times.
The style it is written in is (and as I remember the author actually credits this in the blurb at the end of the book) is absolutely a historical account as if fact, based on a book by a British General, Sir John Hackett, who wrote a book called “World War Three”. (He was a top NATO general during the Cold War, so presumably knew his stuff) which was similar, set after a hypothetical World War Three that occurred in 1985, which is what inspired the title, World War Z. Thats an excellent book as well, but you probably need to be into your military stuff a bit to get into that.
But yeah, seriously, World War Z, Get a copy, you can thank me later
Book is excellent, film was OK until they decided to reshoot the last quarter of it in Cardiff of all places, and also having Peter Capaldi as a Doctor with WHO lol…
