How to taunt multiple targets with your pet?

Currently level 112 mm hunter. Loving it so far, much more then BM.

I have no problem fighting 1 mob, dmg is so high and they die so fast that sometimes it feels I cheat  However when i fight 2+ mobs I struggle. My pet taunts one of them while the rest run toward me.

Is there any way my pet will taunt all? Its the mattet of pet or I should use certain skill?

Try misdirecting everything to your pet, that should give your pet a nice head-start in aggro/threat.

And after that perhaps use Taunt on CD swapping between the targets. If it still goes wrong, FD!

Set your pet as a focus and use a Misdirect focus macro just before a manyshot or any multi-target shot.

#showtooltip MIsdirection
/cast [target=focus] Misdirection

Gives you a brief window to play away unscathed.

Hunter pets have no way to taunt multiple enemies at once. For leveling or for doing WQs it’s more than enough to just cast Misdirection on your pet followed by making sure you deal damage to all enemies you want to go to your pet instead of you before the MD buff runs out.
The more damage you deal before the buff runs out, the better. Especially considering you’re leveling as a MM hunter where any pet you have active won’t do much on it’s own in terms of damage.

I’ve used the below macro for years, works well for all situations.

#showtooltip Misdirection
/cast [target=mouseover,help,exists,nodead][@focus,help][@pet,exists] Misdirection

What it does when used is this:
Prio 1: Misdirection is cast on any friendly unit or unit frame that your cursor is placed above. If your cursor is not placed over any friendly unit, then misdirection will follow your Prio 2.
Prio 2: Misdirection is cast on any friendly unit you’ve set as your focus target.
If you have no focus target then misdirection will follow your Prio 3.
Prio 3: Misdirection is automatically cast on your pet if it’s summoned and alive.
If neither of these conditions are met then the game will “ask” you who you want to cast misdirection on(your cursor gets the usual spell cast highlight effect on it and you can then manually left click on any friendly unit to cast it).

Also don’t forget you ice trap if one escapes your pet, tar trap to give your pet more time to get the one that coming at you or binding shot ditto.
