please dont reccomend any other addon, i just want to know the weakaura for tracking enemy target cooldown timers for my target, all i want is to use it in dueling. thanks. When i create a weakaura to track cooldown timers, theres no option to make it “target”, it just says “status”, does anybody know how to do it

afaik weakauras are not able to track other player’s abilities as the game does not allow you to get that information, that information is only obtainable if the other party has a WA that sends the information to you.
How you track enemy CDs in WA is to make a WA that counts down, and the trigger is when an enemy casts that spell.
So say you wanna track counterspell. you make a WA that shows the icon for counterspell, then you make the WA, when triggered, count down from 24, and then the trigger is when enemy casts counterspell.

Come on. He took some time out of his day to explain you how this can be done using weakauras, he can’t know how much knowledge you have in creating weakauras.
So even if he didn’t solve your problem you could atleast show some gratefulness and maybe ask more precise questions that he can answer to help you.
Like Alumage already mentioned this is not a trivial task with weakauras. It’s way more complex than just tracking buffs and you will likely need to include some lua code for it.
What I usually do is looking for a similar weakaura, import it and then look at how it is done and change it to my needs.

I know you won’t like this answer, but if you have no experience with lua code, I think your best bet is to use one of the existing addons for CD tracking.
