so thats why i wanna ask here on how to get more knowdledge about the game
like what videos to watch or something
In what way do you want to understand the game better?
You can get some good class guides from icyveins or searching around wowhead.
Hello Robbenm!
Getting comfortable and fully understanding WoW can take weeks, most of us have hilariously embarrassing new player stories. You’ll get the hang of it soon enough.
First of all the best WoW resource is WoWHead.
It’s like wikipedia for WoW. Have a quest you’re stuck on? Google it’s name and find the WoWhead link, the comment section is very helpful.
WoWHead also has class guides, but I am a big fan of Icy-Veins.
https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/
That will help you understand your class better.
Outside of that just keep on leveling, don’t overthink the game, hit 60 and take it from there.
Typically you’ll hit 60, do some end game story questing, some random PVP battlegrounds, dungeons and eventually after a few days you can start to do LFR. LFR is Raid Finder, where you queue up solo (or with friends) for an easier version of the raid. Raids are the large scale PVE fights.
As for videos I really like Preach Gaming’s youtube channel. But I’m not really sure if I’d recommend a specific video of his for you. Maybe just check out the channel ans see if you like the videos / if they make sense.
well you can either start digging through guides or dive into the deep end by joining a guild to run raids or PvP content. it will feel like you’re being dragged through content but it’s the quickest way to learn to get into the game
gear
i feel super weak all the time
Don’t worry about gear while leveling. You’re going to feel weak.
A lot of people have something called Heirlooms, which is typically what people buy and send to their new characters. Heirloom gear is stronger than regular leveling gear.
and when does good gear come? in the end game?
That will get better when you hit 50 and head into the current expansion.
I’m not too sure what the ilvl is for bfa/levelling content but at 50 you will start getting gear at around 97 ilvl if I remember right and it goes up quickly in each zone as you head to 60.
You also want to find your best secondary stats for your class, icyveins class guide is my recommendation for that, and start buying enchants from the auction house to enhance your gear.
You will get there don’t worry.
Edit: just a small extra tip too pick up mining and blacksmithing a professions too as you head in to shadowlands, you can make your own legendary base piece then and save some gold later on.
i didnt understand a single thing from that hha sorry
Yes, once you hit 60 you’ll be max level and in end game, all your current loot will soon be replaced.
Battle grounds offer a good way to grab a quick set of 158+ item level gear.
Doing the main story will offer you a few 160 - 180 pieces too.
You’ll also acquire a legendary item your first week or two of being level 60.
You’ll also have access to level 60 dungeons which progress from normal, heroic, mythic and mythic+ difficulties. You can queue for normal and heroic. Mythic and Mythic+ you need to find groups.
Mythic+ is an alternative to raiding.
Then there is raiding.
Raid Finder (LFR) which you can queue for solo.
Then normal, heroic and finally mythic.
The harder content drops higher item level gear.
You’ll hit 60 and be like 130ish item level.
Raiding and dungeons can get you items that have an item level of 180-220 ish range, depending on the difficulty.
Higher item level = more stats.
Man, I am glad to see people actually caring to help. Also you put in that extra effort to do so. So basically what I wanna say: Thank you.
If you’re interested in the story or want to know more about a certain character be sure to give Nobbel87’s YouTube videos a watch.
Take your time and enjoy the sights of Azeroth and beyond!
If you dip your toes in some battlegrounds before you hit 60 you should have honor to buy some gear pieces straight away.
Don’t be afraid to enter content, just let people know you’re learning and you should be golden.
Took me months to fully understand wow lol. Take it step by step and progress at a slow rate. I.e if raidings ya thing, start with LFR and get comfortable with basic mechanics. Circles you avoid (don’t stand in fire!), circles you soak (don’t let ya team mates die!). LoS (line of sight mechanics to not get hit). Find a casual guild that can show you the ropes, discord makes life 500x easier (and more fun!).
Dont be afraid to ask for help on class forums. And theres tons of guides on www.wowhead.com. learn your class, and rotation. Learn basic mechanics (after a while every raid/dungeons pretty much the same stuff). Avoid circles, stack in circles, hide around objects, interupt stuff, cc stuff etc
Here’s a few things to start you off on the right track.
