Suddenly became curious as to the new levelling zone/experience what would happen to the free trial? How far will players be allowed to go before they have to buy the game? Will they be levelling in the new zone?
Genuine curiosity and can’t find any information on it.

Nobody knows for sure.
Old level 20 is the new level 10, but they might let you play until 20 because the idea of trial versions is to let people get a taste of the game and until level 10 you don’t even get specs or talents.
Probably, since new player accounts are sent to Exile’s reach and don’t have the choice to start in the old zones.
