How will World of Warcraft end?

I am curious to what do people think or predict world of warcraft will end, lorewise.
at every new expansion when last big great threat is defeated its always a temporary peace between alliace and horde. And next expansion both sides starts to rile up to fight each other down again like king of the hill.
my question is that how do people think WoW will end lorewise in the future at some point? and do keep in mind this is lorewise, not subscription, player mechanic or anything that has with players to do.
And before anyone target me for being horde or alliance. i play both sides to see the story from both sides.

Someone accidentally presses the button starting the Re-Origination array in the Halls of Origination because they thought it was the one powering the lift.

They will write something so stupid and unrealistic that a black hole emerges in the Blizzard office and consumes everything.

A Sylvanas redemption could achieve just that

It ends as we complete the Great Circle foretold in the rings. Shur’nab.

I don’t think WoW lore willl have an end that isn’t just whatever the ending is when the game servers finally go down, though. The lore will just go on as long as they can sell it, without ever going towards any long-term goal.

A random gnome wakes up, and realises that everything was just a dream. There was no Azeroth, there was no Shadowlands, no Horde or Alliance. Every event that had transpired was simply conjured in the sub-conscience of a little sleeping gnome who had zero relevance to the story whatsoever.

Definitively not how I want it to end. :disappointed:

Hopefully with all the elves destroyed maybe bar Alleria

With the birth of Azeroth.

WoW will over by Void Lords + Undead + Legion reunite and defeat us and the army of the Light and Nature.
From that defeat will start WoW 2. Made by new company, that is free from Activision slavery.

Another way it could end is that Azeroth eventually dies of blood loss and/or septic shock because we forgot to tend and heal the ‘woons’ whilst we’re in the SL.
I also don’t think it’s particularly healthy to have a massive sword stabbed in you although Magni seems to think this is no longer an issue.

It won’t end lorewise. Everquest 2 keeps releasing new expansions and it has like 5% of WoW’s total playerbase. WoW is so big, and Blizzard is so persistent in keeping its games alive, that there is no foreseeable ending of the story.

that is becuse even if they kill off all the know chars now, they can just make new ones and start over in a different era, and it would still be warcraft, but different, what actualy kind of been happening all the time, some dies, new chars come in, it is like a never ending road, what will not end until Blizzard decides to stop them selfs, and then they probably sell it to someone else who continues or tries to continue.

Like every other mmo:

  1. getting expansion after expansion for 20 more years but noone cares anymore
  2. getting a last expansion which is not necessarily meant as the last but funding for the next would just be stopped and it will stay in eternal limbo like classic private servers till noone is playing and servers are shut down.
  3. Wow 2 is released and WoW 1 maybe even converted.

it will end with the death cry of the horde as every last one is slaughtered sparing them time and again was a mistake
