How Would you Rank the WotLK Zones?

In my opinion, Wrath was one of, if not the best World of Warcraft expansion. Apart from great raids and dungeons, it also had some of the best zones in WoW. How would you rank these zones and which do you think was the best?

My ranking would be:

  1. Grizzly Hills
One of the best-looking zones in the game, complete with a great questline, amazing music and possibly my favourite place in Azeroth, Amberpine Lodge.

  2. Howling Fjord
It was hard choosing between Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills for the top spot. Howling Fjord’s is one of my favourite leveling experiences and the Vrykul and Tuskarr are two of my favourite races.

  3. Storm Peaks
The Storm Peaks are a zone immersed in titan lore, home to amazing structures and my favourite raid, Ulduar. They also have dwarves. And I like dwarves.

  4. Icecrown
Icecrown was a very intimidating zone. The music, the aesthetic, even the architecture of the zone made you feel so small in front of it. And I loved that feeling. It also has my second favourite raid, Icecrown Citadel.

  5. Dragonblight
Dragonblight as a zone has everything in it. From dragons to nerubians to scourge and the siege at the Wrathgate. It’s the most action-packed zone in WotLK.

  6. Boreal Tundra
Boreal Tundra looks nice and it has good questing, although not as good as other zones. But the thing that made me put it higher than the other four zones is the abundance of Tuskarr that call this place home.

  7. Zul’Drak
Zul’Drak was a good zone. The zone’s aesthetic and buildings are great, I can’t disagree with that, but at some point I got bored with the quests because they were not as interesting as those elsewhere.

  8. Sholazar Basin
I’m probably underappreciating Sholazar Basin by putting it so low on the list. it was generally a good zone, but it kinda felt like Un’Goro Crater all over again. I mean I did like Un’Goro, but the zone itself was not as unique as the rest.

  9. Crystalsong Forest
The only reason this zone even exists is Dalaran. It does have nice trees, I guess, but nothing more to it. Just nothing.

  10. Wintergrasp
There’s not really a reason why I don’t like Wintergrasp. I just kinda suck at PvP.

  1. Scholazar Basin (best zone to quest for me)
  2. Icecrown (lore, flying ships, argent tournament, one big citadel)
  3. Storm Peaks (titanic style, time-lost to hunt, need flying to traverse)
  4. Zul’ Drak (mainly due to storyline)
  5. Grizzly Hills (don’t like this one that much)
  6. Howling Fjord (boring and long distances while questing)
  7. Dragonblight (this zone was intended to be good, but it’s sad and boring for me)
  8. Borean Tundra (mainly because this is my zone of choice when arriving at Northrend so i’m mid zone with questing when i was ready to go to hyjal, too much of it if simply put :P)
  9. Crystalsong Forest (small and boring zone with nothing to do there apart from few quests (not including Dalaran as the city is in the air))
