I feel it’s useless and ugly.
Only my person pretty “Show Numbers for Cooldowns” from option, when I can click bars.
But, why CD Manger’s bars cant be click ? It’s very weird. Maybe this confused me.
Also I have use addon Hekili. It’s best for me. But blizz soon make same Hekili…call Rotation Assist.
I’ll wait 11.1.7 and test Rotation Assist. If it’s good for me. Would I remove Hekili or not.
The cooldown manager is exactly what I expected of it; great idea (hence why so many WeakAura’s and other addons exist to show the critical cooldowns and buffs of your spec), but they implemented it in a way that it renders it completely useless.
In Edit Mode it’s called “Essential Cooldowns”…what does it start with? Frostfire bolt as Frost Mage, followed by Ice Lance. Like dude, those are NOT a cooldown, let alone essential ones. What did I expect there? Interrupts, but those were excluded.
So it made me wonder what the use of it is, compared to the action bar (which is in my case 5-10 cm lower on the screen). They show exactly the same information. So it only confuses the player in the current state, other than help.
This is typical a development effort where the goal of the change was lost in the process of implementing it. All they had to do was (basically) look at the most popular WA’s on Wago for each spec, and see what info they showed.
In addition, make it adjustable…
They implemented a passive action bar…great, I already had an active one.
It’s bad, but also most WA packs are also bad. They simply show your action buttons (for a second time) slightly higher up the screen. It’s stupid. Check any streamers screen, you’ll often see the same spell icon represented 2-3 times.
The good part of the Blizz Manager is perhaps the ‘TellMeWhen’ animated bars. They could keep those and let players add more spells to it. The rest of it is borderline useless.
They’d have been better off adding in ‘LiteButtonAuras’ functionality to show auras on the true action buttons. The major beneficiaries of this CD manager are probably going to be noobies and clickers who spend 50% of their time looking at their action bars anyway. Giving them 3 or more representations of their buffs/buttons on screen is just nonsense. Bars are good, rest is crud.
