Hows BDK for mythic+ this season?

I always switch between prot war and bdk for my tank duties. Season 1 i did ksm with prot war but since we have a lot of magic dmg and dots this season I was thinking doing the ksm with my bdk.
Should I invest or is it in worse fate than prot war?
any pros and cons and in general experiences so far?

both characters are playable, although I have the impression that the warrior is a bit better

  • stronger survivability
  • good dps

I think Blood DKs are just fine. Not S-tier, but A or B depending on how the class is played. This season has been a weird one for me with stats, since I now focus on haste and crit rather than versatility and mastery. I get increased parry, which synergizes (spelling?) well with the spec. Spamming Heart Strike is something I’m still getting used to.
I have limited experience with warrior to compare, but from a healer’s perspective a warrior is more “stable” to keep alive with less fluctuations in hit points. Make of that what you will.

I tried bdk but the big dmg spikes make me sweaty

You have to get used to taking a lot of damage, but you recuperate from that quickly as well. It’s the whole gimmick. You’re unlikely to die from it as you have several cheat death mechanics to rely on if things go too far.

I mean I have never died as a BDK but it’s a stress simulator haha
