How's the hype? (Honest answers only!)

So guys, how’s the hype and - Why -

Be honest!

I’m excited, for real. Probably the only one who loves new dorfs

I’m hyped to try the new talents and dungeons and raids as usually. Next weeks prepatch the only thing that looks useful is all raids being fated I think. (Just need heroic Aberrus but still. The warbands is a cool feature but likely minimal impact till the launch. Depending on how the quests part changes things. Looking forward to going back to pally but also trying warrior changes for the first time in forever

Moderate.

I’m hyped for the warband system and I’m curious about the delves, the story and the new zones. I will probably run a few normal dungeons as well, if there will be a follower dungeon version offered. I also hope that the new expansion will bring back a lot of role players and we will see an increase in role playing activities.

I’m not interested in PvP, Mythic+, raiding or any other group high end content. I have also dropped blacksmithing for herbalism because the new expansion follows the Dragonflight design so I will have more than enough gear from other sources for what I need and I do not wish to bother with maxing out blacksmithing again. It is too much hassle for too little gain.

What hype?

I’m excited for new content and playing with many of my friends who haven’t been around in a while. New expansions provide a sense of adventure and discovery, for some time.

I just want new content and progress my character(s).

I’m very excited for early access.
The pre-patch is a mixed bag; there’s not much in it for me. I like that it’s coming, but I’m not very excited for it.

Next wednesday I’ll be going to ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ and I’m much more excited for that than for the pre-patch.

Age is making me more cynical but I would be lying if I said I am not hyped before every new expansion.

If it’s prepatch then I don’t care aboot that.

But everything regarding the expansion is hyping me. More especially bladestorm being a thing for fury warrior !

I’m looking forward to the new expansion, not really hyped (but this happens for any game nowadays, I really don’t trust the industry that much anymore).

I like them, but less than the other two we already have. I will make an alt for sure.

I’m really hyped about their starting gear though. It looks like any kind of dwarf will be able to use them for transmog (and only them, just checked in beta).

I like a lot of what I see.
Side quests not having Renown is a good move, I resented that I pretty much had to do all the side quests on my main so I could get the renown they rewarded.
I like that the campaign itself is shorter with a lot more side quests, so alts might have enough content to not be repeating the same quests again.
I like the look of Delves, despite their best efforts to ruin them with death counts and limited keys. I like that it has difficulty levels unlike the Mage Tower was only had Nigh-on Impossible level.
The fact that Chris Metzen is back to work on the narrative is also a positive step.
I like the Raid Quest Story mode for end bosses.

All these things would have been great 10 years ago and make me resent the wasted time I’ve spent in BFA and SL even more.

I’m quite hyped for the warband as well, I’m one of those people that “cannot have alts”.
Even though I only have 3 characters it does feels tiring to progress all of them through the story, being able to sync most things will be a massive quality of life improvement for me.

So I’m really looking forward to warbands ': )

More hyped for the pre-patch with the warband system coming, going on a huge mog collection. I will be hyped for TWW nearer the time. Getting to Wednesday is taking forever!

I wouldn’t say I’ve got any hype for the expansion. I think after many years of disappointing game releases, you get to the point, where you no longer really care as many developers lie out their butt to get extra attention.

We’ll see how the prepatch event goes and then if TWW was indeed worth the money

Not particularly. Feels like more of the same. I’ll play it and see what’s up, but I’m not excited like I was for many previous expansions.

Now, “more of the same” isn’t a bad thing, but more of Dragonflight?

I mean they’ve got to fix the classes and questing… and not only are they not doing that, they’re making it slightly worse.

No hype.

I’ll still play it because I think it’s going to be enjoyable, but the thrill and the excitement isn’t really there.

And there are two reasons for it, I think.

One is that the expansion is like a present where you already know what’s inside. :gift:
The War Within is mostly more of the same. It doesn’t really present a whole lot of new that sparks curiosity and excitement.

The second reason is that the release schedule Blizzard has presented is very staggered and stretched. So instead of getting everything on release, then they’re sort of drip feeding it over time. And that takes some of the grandeur and awe out of the release itself.

I can’t wait for TWW, I am so ready. New content to consume!!!

Not fussed for prepatch, it’s nice to do on my main but it’s not going to last me the whole prepatch duration.

Zero currently.

I’ve been going out of my way to avoid spoilers. For instance I’ve heard of warbands but I don’t know how they work (except theres a death limit!). But I did hear about the late tank changes and that deflated me a bit.

It will be nice to see new content.
