[H/RP] Blazing Phoenix

We have one goal; to serve Quel’Thalas in any way that is required. Criminals and enemies of the High Kingdom are ours to hunt down. Lost or stolen artifacts are ours to reclaim. Hostages and the lost are ours to save. And when the need for war arises, we are a combat unit upon the field of battle. Ours is a unit made up of blood elves and nightborne – helping to solidify bonds with our allies. Each individual brings their own skillset and talents to the team, making us one of the most adaptable units in the Thalassian military.

We are the Blazing Phoenix.

“No-one joins the military to sit behind a desk. Let’s kick in some doors and blow things up.” - Commander Tialis Roseheart

Ranks and Progression

Recruit: When joining the Blazing Phoenix, you will begin at the rank of Recruit. This is your chance to get to know your comrades, and for us to get to know you in turn.

Agent: Upon spending at least one month with us and attending four guild-led events, you can progress into becoming a full Agent of the Blazing Phoenix.

Operative: This rank is reserved for agents who hold a particular role within the unit. I.e.: Quartermaster, stablemaster, lead artificer, etc.

Specialist: This rank is for those who want to offer more, but don’t have the time or confidence to take on an officer role full-time. A mini-officer role, if you will. Should you desire this role, you will undergo a trial tailored specifically for you, overseen by the Commander.

Captain: The officer role. Those who hold this position are second only to the Commander herself. When they speak, they do so with her full authority. When they lead, they do so with her full trust. And should she tread wrongfully, they will correct her.

Projects We Are Involved With

The Ashen Bulwark: A collection of Horde-based guilds who are allied both IC and OOC. We provide campaigns for everyone within the Bulwark, and offer a great many opportunities for RP. It has successfully been running for several years. When you see a guild of the Ashen Bulwark on the scene, others are not far off. Please contact any of our officers for details.

Silvermoon City Discord: The blood elf community has a discord, and it is this discord that we use to organise SMC-based events! The Felo’alah Festival is one such project that we have provided for the server, and there are many more events on the horizon! Please contact Tialis, Garathil, Theolain, Sathorn, Anthelos or Zyretha for details.

Thalassian Party Committee: This may seem like it should be part of the SMC discord, but in fact this is a project that a select few have formed with the intention of providing regular events for the SMC community. While the SMC discord is for general use, this project is focused specifically on creating RP content and is made up of the most passionate individuals in the community when it comes to events! Ask Tialis or Asthalan for details!

Server Campaigns: You may occasionally see us actively taking part in and helping to host and/or DM campaigns and events for the server in general! This can involve projects like Legion’s Legacy, to the Felo’alah Festival, and to the Kosh’harg!

Tonight saw our unit back in action, investigating the outskirts of Zul’Aman and capturing some unsavoury types who had uncovered some carvings that make no sense whatsoever! Not only that, but someone from the Spire might have directed them there to begin with!

Blazing Phoenix are back in action after seeing the end of the Kosh’harg! (Sad times!)

This evening saw us attempting to track down a researcher sent by the Reliquary to Zul’aman in an attempt to translate the carvings we found there in our last adventure. Somehow, he has been kidnapped! The only clue we were given is that there is work being done in the Hinterlands. And who is this Lanaya Starglade who keeps hiring people out here?!

We made it across the ruins of a Troll city in an attempt to rescue a researcher and to our surprise the enemies weren’t quite what we expected. Few explosions later my newbie boy has been baptized by fire and of course dropped poor Melidra into a Silvermoon fountain via escape portal, as tradition goes.

Last night we undergo training session on the old training grounds in the ruins of Silvermoon. Everyone was going crazy with their combat skills while my poor untrained mage only tried to grasp basics. It can only get better from there after losing three out of three duels.

We have been busy little bees this week, seeing the start of The Final Crusade campaign alongside the Ashen Bulwark. This week saw us make three simultaneous strikes against a faction of Light zealots known as the Silver Suns, who were responsible for Scourge attacks in the Light of Pandaria campaign last year.

The Silver Suns had a diabolical plan to bring the people of Quel’Thalas to their knees through sneak chemical attacks and denounce Lor’themar Theron as the Regent Lord, and using the power of rallying they would seek to put their own Sun King on the throne under the influence of the Light. Thankfully, we were able to put a stop to it.

However, the Silver Suns would not just lie down and allow their operations to be thwarted without a fight. In a last ditch attempt, they attacked the Roseheart estate, threatening the Roseheart children and servants. The Ashen Bulwark would not stand by and allow this, and so they infiltrated the estate and split off into three strike teams: one to save the children, one to save and gather the servants, and one to attack the Silver Suns leadership directly. All three missions were successful, with only the Silver Suns leader himself escaping before we could cause more damage to him.

Though the Roseheart estate lies damaged, the day has been saved…For now. But now our eyes turn to Silverpine, for clues picked up this week have led us to believe the Silver Suns are not the only faction on the rise…

In our recent ventures, we came up against a faction known as the White Lances, who had one goal: to secure Lordaeron and gain the Alliance as an ally. Lofty goals, and ones we cannot be sure would have been successful. But as they threatened our allies in Silverpine, Blazing Phoenix and the Ashen Bulwark moved in to handle the enemy.

We took out their established base of operations, their portal network and reinforcements marching into Silverpine. Our next move was to defend the northern coast of Tirisfal to send their ships packing whilst pushing out a group of Scarlets just looking to cling onto the White Lances’ coattails. During these battles, the remains of their forces attempted to escape Silverpine and enter Tirisfal to try and reunite with their comrades, but this too failed.

Now we turn our attention to the Burning Steppes, where a faction related to the Divine Crusade is attempting to cause devastation to the Steppes and its surrounding areas…

After the time skip and the wonders that await us on the Dragon Isles, I can’t wait to go exploring with these lovely people. (Mostly due to the lack of doors on that continent…)
