This is worse than everyone can ever imagine…
The Huge emeralds are all gone. The AH on our server barely has a few, 550-600 gold a piece if you are lucky… The prices have gone wild in the past few days, literally growing 3 times… and there is no cap to this…
The real problem is that there is absolutely no way you can get your hands on Huge Emeralds like you can get on the other materials.
They are a below 0,5% drop chance in the farming and the World Bosses almost never dtop the green satchel…
The market supply cannot keep up with the demand, being given we need 10 for each Ashbringer and there were A LOT of people gettign their 12th iron the past reset and there are even more coming.
Blizz should do something about this, add an alchemy transmutation, trading for udnermine reels, increase drop rates, reduce the requirement for the Ashbringer quest or something… AHYTHING…
Most people will quit with a total disappointment about this anticlimactic SOD end.
Idk what server you speaking about, it is 300g on living flame (alliance) and 150 on wild groth (alliance), and it’s still not the most expencive part of the quest, 20 obsidian-infused bars cost more then 10 huge emeralds. If you are talking about horde on some of those sevrers, i dont know about horde prices, but you can ask a friend to help you transfer it via neutral AH from alliance
And i still don’t think that it’s a huge price for the best and probably final legendary in SoD, and 1 of the best legendaries made in WoW ever. It shouldn’t be easy to get. I think that around 10k total price for this legendary is fair. You can find a lot of farming methods with that you can farm over 500 gold per hour. Or just flipping AH, prices in sod are very volatile and you can make thousands of gold with it. My favorite flip is essences (for example, living essence, essence of water), they can cost 10g one day and 30g other day. And you can make a lot of gold flipping it. Mooncloth also can cost 19g, and can cost 30-40g sometimes. You can make a lot of gold with such flips.
You get an atiesh every 2 weeks by doing nothing. But, thisis not the point.
There is only as sigle Huge Emerald now on the AH, for 3k gold.
The whole idea is that there is not enough supply for the insane demand.
This is one of the rarest things in SoD. 0.25-0.5% drop chance on minning (never got one in over 700 Small and Large Thorium veins mined).
A lot of casual raiders got their 12 irons the past week and this one and there are more coming. And you know what’s worse? Week 13. The week when every Pala / Warr / Hunter that never raided but did their weeklies are going to get their last ingot. That is when the Huge Emeralds are going to sell for 5k each.
This is the stupidest bottleneck. Ever. Nobody will be able to complete their weapon because of an item that is impossible to find.
Being expensive or making it a long grind to get makes sense, but bottlenecking it with an item that can’t be farmed and requiring a 2 months gold grind is totally something different.
you know, you could always go get the huge emeralds out in the game world.
they drop from various sources including chests, thorium veins and sacks from various bosses.
finding 10 would probably take a day of tryharding assuming you don’t have mining.
if you got mining it will probably take an hour if you cycle thorium veins or spam some DME.
Atiesh is not so powerful as ashbringer. It is comparable with epic SE weapons. Slightly stronger because of grp buff, but it’s not even nearly comparable to ashbringer. Ashbringer is 1 of the most powerful legendaries in wow ever.
What server you playing on???
0,7-0,8. But it’s not only about it, you can farm gold other way and buy it on AH. You have millions way to farm gold in sod. Again, about prices you mentioned, idk what server u talking about. it is 300-400g living flame (alliance) and 150g wild groth (alliance). And obsidian-infused bars part is still more expencive then emeralds
They will not because except of ingot, you need quest items that drops from beatrix and caldoran. You won’t get a legendary if you never raided.
It can be farmed. You can farm gold other way and buy it. Or you can do DM jump runs (if you pretending on ashbringer so i think you have enough gear to just zerg it)
It’s very big unluck, or you are lying. But anyway i think if u mined 700 veins you should have enough gold in thorium bars and arcane crystals to buy all emeralds, with prices i mentioned. ABout your prices 3k and only single on AH, again, please say me your server bro.
Blizz mad this a very low drop intentinally. This is not about luck when you get 10 of every other rare gem with a below 1% drop rate, but never see a Huge Emerald.
THis drop rate was in classic 15 years ago. Blizzard didn’t make it so low intentionally because of your ashbringer quest.
It’s about luck, but i think about 700 veins and 0 emeralds you just lying. Why i should believe you in drop rates when you lied about prices? Just say me your secret server with so high prices, 3k for 1 emerald, please, because on both active servers (living flame/wild groth) prices are not even nearly so high. They are still high ofc, but still lower then obsidian-infused bars part.
That is your business believing or not. At this point you are defending a corporation you are paying.
My appologies for not recording every single node farmed to show you the drops.
You still didn’t say me a server with so high prices. It’s question number 1 because on both active servers prices are not nearly so high. Maybe you playing on 1 of the dead closed servers with free transfer to living flame, but then idk how you got to SE-raiding guilds, because only players playing there are resource farmers to transfer resources to living flame. I just said you that you aren’t right about prices, and either you playing on dead realm (just trnafer to LF then???) or you just lying, probably the second, and if you just lying about prices then probably you also lying about that you mined 700 veins and got 0 emeralds. Please at least prove your words about prices. It’s easy, just say server name, i will make character there and check.
Putting 10 ultra rare gems that do not even have a realistic way to be mined or farmed in any other consistent way into a recipe that every hunter, paladin and warrior is going to pursue is diabolical
GO ahead I have a ss now. Around 30 gems on Ah, the cheapest is 289 gold.
Wild Growth,so whatever you said about 150 gold proves you are clueless. Just check every hour or so and you wil lsee them vanishing or spiking to an exorbitant price.
At what point can we consider it reasonable to be so dependent on such fluctuations in ah?
I understand supply and demand, but this is taking on grotesque proportions.
Blizzard should intervene to regulate this problem.
Okay, in fact it almost the same (obsidian bars you need 20, emeralds 10). Of course it’s not cheap. But with sod inflation, total price of around 8-10k is not so much for best legendary in the game. In classic, thunderfury cost almost the same (100 arcanites and some other mats, that was also around 8-10k gold), but sod is much more inflated then classic, so its price is much lower then TF in classic. You should put some efforts to get best legendary in the game, it shouldn’t be free. Everyone will get 12 irons in 5 more weeks, so you think everyone should get it for free in 5 weeks? No, please put some efforts. It’s not hard to farm if you playing the game except of just raid logging. Free gold in sod is everywhere. You can make lots of gold with any crafting or gathering profession. Any crafting profession is 80-100g per blood, and you can farm 5-8 of them per hour. 15-20 hour farm is not so much for best legendry in the game.
You are missing the basic point - There are not enough Huge Emeralds in the game. It simply cannot provide enough. And, to makes things even worse, Blizzard reduced the drop rate below 0.1% and reduced the green bag drop chance.
As I previously said, but you lack basic reading skills, this will get worse and worse as more and more players will need this gem that is nowhere to be found.
It’s enough. Drop rate on wowhead is around 0,7%. It is not below 0,1%, maybe you just unlucky. Again i will compare with thunderfury in classic. It requires 100 arcane crstals with 3% drop rate (so on average, do around 3300 mines). Huge emerald is 0,7% drop rate and you need 10 of them. It is 1430 mines.
You can’t compare the investment for thunderfury and ashbringer.
Thunderfury requires you to collect :
100 arcane crystals.
100 thorium bars.
Loots from MC and BWL.
Ashbringer requires you to collect :
20 Arcanite bars.
20 Righteous orbs.
20 Obsidian-infused thorium bars.
120 Truesilver bars.
10 Huge emeralds.
10 Dirge’s Kickin’ Chimaerok Chops.
Now you have “to fight” against all Warrior/Hunter/Paladins on the server + players who wants to make money for those mats.
That’s not the same investment at all in the end.
What could help players to collect those infamous emerald or truesilver bars? Put them in Wartorn Undermine Supply Crate the same way they did for Large Obsidian Shard and Arcane Crystal.
