Huge pvp nerfs to warrior in the War Within

  • Blademaster’s Torment has been redesigned – Activating Avatar casts Sweeping Strikes and while Avatar is active the cooldown of Cleave is reduced by 1.5 seconds.

    • Developer’s note: With recent updates to Bladestorm, this talent went from strong synergy to a near-lock-in, particularly for Slayers. Total Bladestorm uptime was also becoming disruptive, so we’ve redesigned this talent to be useful in AOE situations and provide a different rotational cadence during Avatar.
  • Warlord’s Torment tooltip updated with detailed information. No functional changes.

  • Storm of Destruction has been redesigned – Now reduces healing on affected targets by 25% for 10 seconds (was reduce the cooldown of Bladestorm and Ravager).

Basically the cd of bladestorm will be longer and you will only have one. You will be permastuck in roots and slows and stuns. Have fun being an npc being farmed for conq!

At this point, they should remove all PvP modifiers for arms . Nearly every talent has less value in pvp.

They have wrong direction for arms at TWW. They really tryhard to make arms competitive in pve. They are just better classes for pve than arms. They neglected the PvP aspect for class desing at TWW

Arms Pve in TWW is not good anyway, seems like a hit n miss…

I have noticed that they try to give arms a supportive role in pvp. Spreading mortal wounds, AoE slows , buffing Duel and Master and Commander pvp talents. However piercing howl doesn’t root anymore. DF arms was working fine but they just want to screw us again.

Yeah significant nerfs to Arms, why? We are not overpowered in PvP in any way :frowning:

Btw I also play DH Havoc and strongly considering to switch for TWW. It’s just better, faster, ridiculous dps, easier to stay alive.

The problems of arms are the values of defensive stance and spell reflect working for 1 spell. Instead of solvent these problems , they came with the " rage overgeneration" and our talents are too much for both ST and AoE

Honestly, the only PvP fix I care about - is the SR one.

As having my SR eaten by pre-dam procs just make me have a hizzy fit. Nothing like spellreflecting a voidelf pre-dam passive and that jazz. Funs all around :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

I have a question. Are the same devs for DF warrior same with TWW warrior?? It seems they either got promised for salary raise if the gut warriors or maybe they are different but having no sense of reality.

Bladestorm spam was bad game design. Being Immune to CC is something most classes can only dream of.

But these changes look super bad for PvP.

Nearly all classes have some sort of immunity to CC . Bladestorm spam as u say was the only thing kept warrior competitive, the spec wasn’t over performing. It was balanced.

Immunity while dealing tons of damage and at the same time removing CC like Disarm, is very different from a slightly-slower-death ability like Turtle.
You can also press it while CC is flying towards you, a case that’s historically forced you to press your button just before a cast goes off.

Warrior was overtuned half the expansion, and is still a solid pick, Bladestorm or not. At least it looks like it will be less faceroll in TWW.

It seems u describe dk vs casters or ret and not arms. Warriors don’t remove disarm by pressing bladestorm… In fact we can’t
press bladestorm while disarmed and if we are disarmed, pressing avatar will not activate bladestorm

I guess its some sort of skill expression??

I can safely say this during s1 but for the rest of the seasons I doubt. Hunter is overtuned whole expansion. There are other classes that are in a greater degree overtuned , but ok .
I don’t care if its reroll or not for the next expansion, I only care if its equally represented in higher ELOs and seen at AWC .

Sorry dude, but hunters are pretty much the last ones to complain about anything PvP in Dragonflight. Tons of damage, unbelievable burst from unreachable distance, invisibility opener, speed, CC traps galore…

BM/MM is on another planet compared to SV. I can only speak for SV, and it’s by far the hardest spec to play in game, while being super squishy.
Defensives + Cheetah are all on 3 min cd.

As things stand, I feel like Fury will be better than Arms again for PvP because both specs are getting Bladestorm.

Only I dislike Fury. I swing two massive 2handers, yet it somehow feels like rogue - too fast and small hits. Meh…
