Human Heritage Questline

All land is troll land.

So, this is how it feels to be you, huh? But lets dive deeper into what you said and was wrong.

Why not?

Most of the Eastern Plaguelands and like half of the Western Plaguelands are Argent Crusade territory (not Forsaken).

Tirisfal has lost its two major cities and still has a Scarlet Crusade presence, so it’s barely Forsaken territory.

Silverpine has a heavy Forsaken presence, that is right, but Shadowfang and Fenris Keeps and Pyrewood Village are (lorewise) under Alliance control.

Hillsbrad Foothills is basicly the only place that is almost entirelly under Forsaken control, BUT it’s mostly Alterac (instead of Lordaeron), the Alliance has reclaimed Southshore and it is bordered on the north east, the east and the west by Alliance territory.

So you have to deal with it, ya rabid fanboy.

Technically it belongs to neither High elf or Blood elf.

It belonged to the Amani the original owners of the land who the elves built Silvermoon on top of Amani sacred grounds.

Don’t forget the Tauren too.

Amd before the Amani it belonged to nature, and before that to the Black Empire

We need a human and forest troll coalition. We take everything south of Thalassian Range, you take everything north of it.

Forest Trolls claim lands as far down as the Thandol Valley, also thats not really a fair deal of partition “we get 95% you get 5%… sounds fair yes?”

I’ve written about a potential human heritage questline and armor in the US-forum, so I will just copy it because I’m lazy.

You arrive in Stormwind City and Mathias Shaw comes up to you as the initial questgiver. He tells you that they received a message from Sarah Ladimore, Commander of the Night Watch in Duskwood, about some strange activities and she asked for help. So, you’re send to Darkshire.

You, alongside the newly reformed Night Watch and Sarah herself, go on ahead to defeat the evil-things in Duskwood. Until you stumble upon an old knight of Stormwind who also fights against the undead. (He could also be a ghost, he could be Gavinrad, he could even be Lothar himself it doesn’t really matter.) He then laments about how much the people of Stormwind had to suffer in recent years, about their burdens, but also about their duties, their spirit etc.

In the end he asks Sarah and the player to reform the Brotherhood of the Horse to protect Stormwind and humanity.

From this point on we go on a questline through the entire kingdom and recruit several different members alongside the way. No no-name characters (and importantly only human characters!), but small ones who have never really gotten too much spotlight. For example Daphne Stillwell in Westfall, part of the original paladin-questline, someone like Salma Saldean, Marshall Marris/Captain Parker in Redridge, Duthorian Rall in Stormwind alongside High Priestess Laurena, Marshall McBride and Milly Osworth (the very first characters humans talked to back in Vanilla and Lilly is even a soldier as seen in WoD), Theocritus the mage of the Tower of Azora.

We recruit a lot of different people and gather in Stormwind. There we meet the old knight again, who asks us to go to Ironforge in order to ask the dwarves to forge armor suitable for true knights of Stormwind. And obviously the dwarves happily oblige (you know…because human-dwarven-friendship is like a pillar of Warcraft).

You then come back to Stormwind, a short preparation in the Cathedral of Light and all the members, you included, get their new shiny armor and officially form the Brotherhood of the Horse, Protectors, Defenders of the Realm with Sarah Ladimore as its new leader. You can probably have one more quest before you get your armor, where you and the Brotherhood get their first task in a short scenario.

Yes, it’s obviously pretty much a story of knights and heroes, but if you play a human that’s honestly part of their fantasy. Also this story doesn’t rely on the big names like Anduin, Shaw or Jaina…they’re like everywhere. This is a story about the people of Stormwind. The humans of Stormwind.

And what type of armor? I feel like the armor worn in the movie is actually perfect or something along those lines.

Lion belt and gloves, chainmail and plate, but also comes with a nice “skirt”-like-piece of cloth to really make it unique. It’s also not too heavy, so it can easily be worn by mages and priests. It also goes well with a variety of Stormwind-themed-weapons: Warfront, the Grandmarshall-gear and obviously the promotion-sword from the movie.

I am not sure about the people in Stormwind, but those who asked for their help (Darkshire, Lakeshire, Sentinel Hill, and nearby territories) did.

On the less related note, having, if not the king (or future queen), than somebody among the leadership finally expressing interest in the kingdom and looking for ways to figure out the problems or make steps to fixing them, would be a nice and refreshing change.
