Ah-humh. So. Serious time. No, I don’t consider this something you should concern yourself with. I wager any Alliance soldier/operative/researcher would have some means of identifaction on hand, but otherwise? Probably not so much.
Juuust like to point out that the King betrayed the Alliance, not the entire nation. Not sure the farmers and other common men of Alterac should be labelled as traitors or even pro horde. Heck General Hath let the alliance Arrest Perenolde so not all of them are traitors just a few rotten apples…
From what I understood, in the beginning the king was the one who betrayed the alliance, he would order a change of patrols or move his forces on the homefront to allow the orcs to sneak through, however sometime later some Alterac humans were seen fighting with the orcs, sailors and such mostly.
this lead to the alliance gathering their forces and march right up to Alterac’s doorstep where general of the Alterac army stepped aside because he wasn’t about to fight to the death for the Horde.
after that Alterac was left in a state of leadlessness, while I think there was a prince who resided in gilneans who wanted to retake the throne there, deathwing in his human form also wanted to take hold of the kingdom.
and deathwing almost got his wish but he was defeated and as such his human form vanished before they could crown him.
Overall since their king was dethroned the nation have been in a state of decline until it faded and what remained of the people became the Syndicate.
Dont wish to derail this thread but you are mostly correct. I think it was a niece that fled to gilneas not a prince. Some of the populace became the syndicate others fled to the other kingdoms. Not sure if they ever fought alongside the Horde either. Just wanted to dispel the opinion that all alteraci = traitor/ pro horde.
