Human Shaman, when?

Why is this not a thing?

Shamanism is a real-life thing. Ayahuasca with shamans is good.

Make it happen, lore before gameplay.

Kul tiran humans can be Shamans

I absolutely hate the direction they took with class/races. Where they have made it so practically anything can be anything. Hate it. And now it is too late for them to go back on it.

It was best in classic when there were the most restrictions - gave both the classes and races way more identity. It just feels stupid having them all able to do everything.

Human shaman sounds totally dumb, hope it never happens.

The only thing worse they could do is switch to a ff14 type system where one character can be any class, I would absolutely hate that.

That’s actually a great thing about final fantasy, because you effectively have all your alts in 1 character.

Wait, What are you talking about=?

It added more character or even soul to the World of Warcraft.
Itr used to make sense. Forsaken can’t be Paladin because the Light sees Undead as an abomination to be purged so even their Priests torment themselves as the Light always harms the undead user.

Gnome Druids don’t make sense because the Gnomes and MechaGnomes have always depended on their own intelligence - engenuity - and themselves so are not a race with faith of any kind.

Goblins Paladin don’t make sense because the only true love a Goblin has is money. Despite their ability to make deals. The elements can be deceived by the Goblins but the Light can not.

Draenai and Lightforged Draenai can not be Warlocks because they rejected Sargeras offer. Was then hunted murdered and tormented by the Eredar those formerly of their own race who did.

Retcons do not always work and can harm what was already built.
Like Disney Star Wars. It harmed the Star Wars franchise - brand and intellectual property as a whole.

Either the existing races can carry the class and help the faction as a whole or someone else comes to pick up the slack.
Like Druids. The Night Elves handled that initially but the Worgen helped to pick up the slack. But they are kinda responsible for the Worgen anyway.

What works for Final Fantasy 14 will not work for World of Warcraft. There are so many that tried and failed to replicate the WoW formula.

I personally would love to have that option for my character of being able to be any class on 1 character, I would not have to grind all that rep shizz constantly.

My guild is alliance i would love to have option to not be fat, short or goat.

I misread human for hunter. For some reason.

Think about it. This adds to the world building.
Shaman get their strength through the relationship with the elements. The elements are chaotic in nature.

Humans have no relationship with the elements and had to get the Draenai and Dwarves to sort out the Elements. Now the sea faring laid back jolly old Kul Tirans have some elements talking to and having relationship with them.
But the other humans no such luck.

After the tauren and troll paladins i don’t really care
Not to mention tauren rogues

Yeah Tauren rogues are absolutely stupid.

Different Loa - Different power sources.
Sunwalkers - Solar Paladin meh

But yes the Tauren and Draenai Rogues is weird.
Blizzard is trying a “new normal” trick. Like Gnomes could not be Hunters until Legion expansion. No explanation or anything.

Tauren Mages are the weirdest though. Their power source is neither An’She the sun or their Earth mother. So who empowers Tauren Mages.
Orc Priests are very weird. They were always led by the elements a Shamanistic people. Now they embraced the Light? What Light?

^^ Damn it Blizzard ^^

^^ This. It technically exists.

Of course, I’d not mind a regular hooman shaman. Makes more sense to me than a tauren rogue that licks your whole face as a Blind ability  or has a questionable stealth…

Interferes with work out time at the gym.

With Sylvannas being Undead you can understand Saurfangs disappointment.
Just saying…

in reality most race/class combos can be identified with lore explanation

a few blood elf farstriders learned druidism to heal the deadscar, or at least try.

Druid dwarf works because of the wildhammer

Druid vulpera works because they are resourceful and nomadic.

Paladin night elf works because of Elune, and the destruction of teldrassil/ wanting justice.

Monk worgen and goblin should work by now with exile’s reach being a starting zone.

Pandaren druid makes total sense i mean…

then there are race/class combos that are a bit harder to explain/ justify like Lightforged Warlock and Undead Druid/paladin. so im excited to see how they justify these

theres more important problems in the game right now.

Like a new class that would light up a dope pipe to restore mana and move to another dimension ? Amazing idea.
Except then the aftermath of the drugs, like diarrhea, I don’t know how they’re gonna portray.

If WoW was based on real life we’d have many new things, like instead of going to a riding trainer you’d report to the DVLA
