While it’s cutesy and fun at first, this is getting seriously annoying for me. I know it is definitely reducing my performance. Perhaps add the “fun” aspect of it to a toy but please keep my feet on the ground. Anyone else finding it irritating?
Yes I agree. Made heroic Maut a nightmare. The wings and up and down animation should have an off switch.
are you insane this is like the most fun trinket that’s been added to the game in a while god damn OH WELL NOW THAT THERE IS ONE NEGATIVE VIEW ON IT I GUESS IT’S OVER CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT NERFED IT WAS NICE KNOWING YOU, TRINKET
Agreed, the slow fall effect of this trinket is an absolute nightmare in various scenarios (especially as a melee). I think the wings effect looks great, it’s just unfortunate about the unbreakable levitate.
I mean I really wanna say something negative about your view, but then I remembered I get stunned at least once per cast of Slippery Suds in Freehold, so I probably should just shut up about being unable to stop jumping or similar.
I like the visual effect a fair bit though, but I can see how anything outside of it may end up being a tad annoying. Not sure if annoying enough for me to make a forum post, but to each their own, I feel like.
I don’t mind the wings though it looks silly on a moonkin. It is the ice skating effect I get sometimes which I hate. It can also be very distracting when stacked in corners in dungeons when I can’t scroll out. There is a macro to cancel the trinket effect already so I guess more people are already having issues.
Far too often now I am gliding across an area where I wasnt intending to. Motherlode was a nightmare and I actually died (partly) due to trinket levitation. Obviously if i was in the perfect place at the right time then I wouldnt be hit by the “bad” stuff, but basically levitation aided in my death.
After looting the trinket today, being a tank as well, so using a neural silencer is obviously not an option, I say there should be a better option to turn it off, rather than disabling the levitate as well as misdirection, lifegrip and ToT.
The idea of allowing people to turn off the levitate ability using a neural silencer isn’t bad, but it’s just not thought through, given the fact that tanks do often rely on abilities that get disabled through neural silencer as well.
I personally like the flavor of it and I see myself in situations where I wouldn’t mind levitating, but I also have noticed situations where levitating was quite an obstruction.
Just give it an active to toggle between wings and no wings? Or would that be too much work?
Anyway, it seems like there was too little testing regarding this trinket. And too few thoughts went into the solution to the feedback they’ve received, regarding it.
It’s fun until you get knocked backwards and the slowfall effect sends you gently gliding out into the void and your eventual doom…
I’d love it for the open world, but I would prefer that particular effect to not work in instances.
Basically that. I loved the trinket until I almost got killed due to it during Inquisitor. Thank Skull Bash for being a thing btw.
That seems like a great solution as well.
I was killed, by trash shortly after Wrathion. I made a joke of it but… it won’t be funny when it’s happened every raid for 2 months.
I would honestly love it if it became a cosmetic toy, we need more cool looking ones like it.
I would have laughed hysterically. No pointed you out THEN laughed hysterically
Isn’t this patch about items with side effects?
There you go!
I had a knockback throw me off a cliff because the damn trinket procced…
It’s quite a pain sometimes, but so far not that rage inducing (yet).
I did a horrific vision with this trinket and the already strong aqir knockback in Valley of Honor was further amplified by the trinket’s slow fall effect. Imagine levitating halfway across the Valley of Honor like a greased lightning into another pack of strong-hitting mobs!
The trinket is really quite nice, lovely visuals and it procs very often… but in all honesty, I’d rather they made it an on-use trinket rather than a random proc, or alternatively remove the slow-fall component. As it is, the trinket can grief your performance pretty hard if it procs at the wrong moment.
Thought they made neural silencer stop it but it didnt so very disappointed. On the other hand. I was laughing histerically when one of my guildies fell down to nothing in the raid while screaming NOOO while falling very slowly.
Most fun trinket for ages. I love it.
I have already managed to kill myself while using disengage when the slow fall was active so i went down a cliff
