Checked my emails today and saw a pre-purchase marketing one for Dragonflight pre-expansion patch (received it Wednesday).
“Also in phase one, all races will be able to play as rogue, priest and mage - allowing you to stealthily tiptoe through the shadows with cloven hoofs or give up your shamanistic rituals to embrace the light”
Quoted exactly, I don’t always get sarcasm, but it seems like it to me.
This is the only bit of phase 1 that will give me actual content to do.
I’m going to make a Tauren Rogue called HoovesMcgee (assuming nobody steals that name). I’ll have three weeks to level it up before actual content is released on Nov 16th. Might create a Dracthyr then but not sure, we only have a week or so to collect all the mogs and pets etc from the actual content in phase 2.
Hehe, go for it !
I am sure they wear hoof charms to muffle any noise.
I am currently trying to thin out characters so I have space for new ones. I think some of the old ones have oldish recipes I would like to keep which isn’t helping.
This sounds a bit worrying, are there limited fomo pets ? in pre-patch ?
(Apart from that one Dracthyr on purchase one)
Are the limited mogs normal event ones or instanced group stuff ?
It’s somewhat disgruntling. We have 3 weeks to play with new UI and Talents but not actual new content to play with them in. Then we get less than 2 weeks of Dracthyr and Primal Invasions to do actual content.
I don’t know.
We earn a currency doing Primal Invasions and then there will be stuff to buy with that currency. I know there is catch up gear (252, so Zereth Mortis level) but there could be toys, pets or similar.
There is catch up gear bought with a currency from Primal Invasions. So there will be a full set of Plate, Mail, Leather and Cloth. Not sure if the current or the gear is Account Bound so can be earnt on a main and sent to an alt for the mog.
Not sure if there are rares or world bosses that drop anything.
Don’t think there is any instanced content for the Pre=Patch.
I got the base edition when the date was announced recently, so I got that one pet which comes with that. Did consider getting the heroic version for another pet and a mount but meh.
Trying to think back to the Legion pre-patch, there were catch up gear items with fel transmog, a couple of toys and fel bat pups, (the pet was eventually available later via a quest I think ).
I remember quite liking that pre-patch as all low level alts could get gear upgrades, mogs, items and nice xp.
If this one is similar I could be tempted.
Does anyone know when the item info is being released ?
It is amusing how people are surprised about the “stealthily moving hooves”
I mean every species with hooves aren’t exactly predators… they are preys
Even the vampire deer (water deer)
Not drawing attention is part of the survival game
Deers, stags, and any other species with hooves are capable to move very silently in an enviroment where every little twig snaps under you with the sound of a thunderstorm…
Current plan is phase 2 on 16th Nov. with DF Launch on 28th. so 12 days of actual content if plan goes as expected.
I don’t see a delay to six weeks of phase 2 happening, that would put go-live around xmas. 28th Nov. is already too close to xmas for my liking but meh.
If it’s going to be a delay I think it’s more likely to be until Feb / Mar 2023.
Yea , but exact same thing happended with SL, it got delayed like what ? 2-3 times ? Also prepatch phase 1 started like mid october(10-11) , and SL was released like 20ish november, so around 6 weeks. Same can happen now, but i hope it wont
Concentrated cool is just lost on current Blizzard. Completely.
Or not. It’s hard to tell.
You see at the same time they’re doing this they’re also making the most restricted race and class of all time, showing clearly that they understand the idea of a character using both blessings, body, and mind as one to become something powerful.
I am completely against this change but it’s too late now. It’s going to happen… so yeah.
Hooves are noisy… on hard surfaces. This is what people imagine when thinking of hooves (or more likely the sound of someone banging two coconuts together).
Most people have no idea what hooves sound like on grass, dirt, mud or sand.
