I’ve spent the last 30mins searching pages and pages of icons for the parachute icon to make a macro for my flexweave underlay.
There seem to be endless pages of icons to trawl through & I know a parachute icon exists, but I’m just sick of spending my evening looking for it & scrolling back to the beginning incase I missed it.
Are icons not indexed?
Is this how it’s intended? To sift through tens of thousands of icons instead of typing a keyword?
Been here/there. Googled a lot and the only thing I found was that some addon claims to make the icons searchable in_some_kind_of_way. I dont like installing addons so I gave it up.
Not the most elegant solution but you can just go to the WTF folder. Find the folder for your account. If they are general account wide macros then open macros-cache.txt. If they are character specific macros you want to change then go to the realm folder and find your character, there open macros-cache.txt.
Inside that file find your marco and then the line
VER 3 <long number> "name" "icon"
Now find the icon you want on wowhead icon database and just replace whatever text is in the icon field(by defualt it’s “INV_MISC_QUESTIONMARK”) with the name of icon you want.
