if you want to do only hc whatever spec you play does not matter, if you want to do 15s your spec as well does not matter its all doable, but you probably will be declined by many groups or even kicked because you dont play meta, thank blizzard there
i read this topic and see really bad arguments - oh my guild mate 200 ilvl playing bm and doing really well, how this change the fact that bm is bottom dps right now in the game?
awww its an easy spec to play they should do no damage at all! a pure dps spec doing no dmg, a spec should not be punished for that, do people think that playing an X spec in this game earns them a phd? or do people think that after 15 years of the game there are still hard specs to play, just put some effort
soulforge embers is a terrible lego, after 9.05 and rylaks buff people stopped using it, even on higher competitive level people stopped using sfe

It did in BFA but they changed how 2ndary stats affect things so i donât think we know how its going to pan out.
I agree with what youâre saying. Cant honestly think of one single spec that is âhardâ to play. Hard to master, sure some can be more intricate. But to play? Nah every spec is relatively simple.
So looking at the DPS Analysis list. All 3 hunter specs are in the bottom 5 DPSâs in Castle Nathria.
WHY ARE YOU STILL PLAYING HUNTER THEN?!?!?!?!?!
I mean, quit moaning about it on the forums, go roll a Boomie, Afflic Lock, Shadow Priest, Ele Shaman or Fire Mage. Quickly.
Just stop moaning about it, and go play one of the good class/spec combinations.
edit, yes and for clarification, I dropped Wind Walker Monk and have levelled a Ele Shaman. And earlier in the year I respected from Frost Mage to Fire Mage (including the covenant switch). So I know the pain involved.
if you are like me casual non raiding and more focus on outdoor content then it dos not matter but if you are like you a high end player then hunter is not the class you want to play now.
Hunters seem to have a lower variance than other classes. It doesnât matter how much garbage you throw at them, they somehow keep doing roughly the same amount of damage.
Other classes lose damage when they have to do mechanics.
They get compensated for that with higher damage when they donât have to deal with their mechanics.
This results in Hunters setting pretty much no DPS records, but theyâre still a rock solid addition to a raid team.
and well, any class that has 3 dps specs would, and should throw a tantrum if blizzard decides to make all 3 specs unviable or terrible, which is understandable.
The people complaining that BM hunters shouldnât be above bottom amuse me because by that logic ferals should basically always be top due to the requirements to do their DPS, and DHs actually Should be below BM hunters or 2nd to last and Demo locks should be 3rd? But literally all hunter specs are trash and have felt trash for a while to me at least.
Also MM has to stand still more than fire mages thatâs for sure but you still see MM doing very poorly in raids atm.
Because the way gearing works to reroll now it would take forever to gear up since most upgrades comes from vault wich is 1 weekly piece. Then soul ash farm then conduit farm wich you can only upgrade above 200 with styga from Maw and is random wich conduit it upgrades. Also i don;t like fotm rerolling.
Also this nonsense with oh your class is easier or hybrid so you shouldnât be above average in dps is most silliest argument i have seen.
What I find super funny about this Hunter DPS is I had absolutely no problems getting invited to groups pre-9.0.5. Yet even though MY hunter got buffed in 9.0.5 (I play Kyrian with Surging Shots), now nobody wants to invite me
But yes, even though NF Fire Mage was better than NF MM Hunter in every single area of content (raid, M+ and PvP), it is NF Hunter that got nerfed. Blizzardâs bias is really showing this expansion.
I wonât deny that youâre right about that bit. Iâm currently going through that struggle on my Ele Shaman⊠but youâll make progress if you stick with it.
This is why you donât just go for the FOTM, The word âFlavor of the monthâ is exactly what it sounds like,
The thing that is on top 1 month can be at the bottom the next month.
In the long run, just play what you enjoy and not what parses the best at any given moment, as you will need to switch class A LOT if you want to only play FOTM
They started to be broken from BFA S4 therefore is FOTY not month, year.
But we have to make it an issue if hunters are not outdpsing everybody with their 3 keys.
Imagine a nerf to mages bringing them down, they would storm the forums and maybe blizzards headquarters. Thats why they are letting them lead the game in all aspects.
