I seriously cannot decide between these 2. Looking for a class to play in all corners of the game.
BM and Survivial are absolutely trash right now.
Enh isnât great but itâs still better than either of those.
So really itâs MM or Shaman.
I think Shaman has more flavor than Hunter.
Both got melee and ranged, but shaman can heal.
My mate wanted a class that âcould do everythingâ. So much so he levelled a pala. A Druid. Now a priest.
He spent so long wanting to do âeverythingâ he does nothing.
Multi spec classes are over rated. Pick a class and spec you truely enjoy and the game is 100% better. Rolling a class because it can tank/dps/heal âjust becauseâ results in months of wasted time. âŚdamn you Aaron!!!
Anyway. Back on topic. Shaman is a great healer both pve and PvP. Really nice ranged dps for both and has an amazing ranged stun that is super annoying as it canât be dispelled. And enhance (if you go venthyr) is painfully bursty in PvP.
Shamans are great and have a proper old school âwowâ feel. Canât go wrong.
Hunter is probably better choice, either MM or BM will be always at good spot and MM is quite easy to play and BM is even easier. Canât tell much about Survival
As for Shaman - Ele is in good spot damage wise but a lot harder to play than MM and their AOE rotation is very clunky and annoying, they are top tier casters in PVP though.
Enh is also in fine spot (as fine as melees can go in this ranged favored meta) and they are in fine spot in PVP as well
Resto is top tier raid/dungeon healers and tier 2 in PVP
If you donât play in top 100 arena and rbg teams world wide. Forget tiers.
The current community âmetaâ is much more of an issue.
This is highlighted by top healers totally rerolling paladins for healing in PvP because right now itâs so broken.
That being said. You will enjoy the game playing what you actually like over a fotm class.
Sadly some groups will just ignore you completely or you will struggle due to the balance issues.
Fix. Make your own groups.
Or he just enjoy leveling alts.
Iâve decided that this is the case. Every expat the same. Half way through heâll decide on one.
My shaman opinion - go hunter. Shaman is nice to have only as a secondary char, just for the love of this class. Hunter is just more useful, convinient class all around. Shaman is for your soul.
Always shaman. Hunter players are bad and should feel bad.
Wow thanks for the replies, I didnât quite word it well. Iâm not after top tier or this weeks fav.
I enjoy both hunter and shaman, the themes of the classes, the images conjured up of them when you think about them.
I guess Iâm just trying to bounce things around and see if it helps me decide.
I wouldnât go so far as to say that all hunter players are bad, but I certainly am one of the worst - so youâre kind of right
And OP, itâs a bit difficult to say which class you should choose, because we all enjoy different playstyles. But I would pick shaman myself. A very versatile class and also fun to play. You can summon totems and elementals, and also turn into a ghost wolf to travel faster. Definitely one of my favorite classes these days.
Hunter, unless u want healing or the posibility to be a melee or caster dps.
Otherwise, i would choose hunter, rly fun gameplay, safe specs, nice damage.
Shaman brings alot of utility, especialy as a healer.
Enhancement isnt safe spec if u eant to pvp, ele can be top tier.
Ur choice man!
Beast Mastery Hunter. There is very little it canât do. Especially if you train up Pandaren Engineering so you can get a Goblin Glider (not the kit, the one that attaches to your cloak).
