Sure. I think open world people will still cry but organised PvP should aim to be balanced in and the pet not being hit by 25% nerf is a serious oversight if true.
My pet has 396hp more than me, (only aspectlion buffed).
I’m at 1241.
Nerfing the HP values has already been done, significantly.
Slap hunter pets with a -50% dmg mod in organised PvP and I think that would solve everyone’s problem.
(Can just add 50% reduced dmg taken by player pets on WSG hat)
I’m excited to see the changes when the devs return from their holidays, but I don’t expect hunters to fall from their dominant position, they would be at the top in a 25bracket in pure vanilla also, but for different reasons ofc.
I haven’t open world pvp’d for a while so I don’t know what geared hunters are capable of, but I guess you should be able to burst down the hunter with most classes. Yea it’s a wild oversight. Heals are not affected either by the way.
I feel like the 25% would make the whole thing manageable, 50% might be overkill.
Not sure if the hat idea is a good one, since it gives 0 stats otherwise, you don’t want to use it on ranged classes.
I meant character attributes. If you have 8 agi 8 stam helmet on hunter you won’t be using the wsg one. Some classes don’t want to get hit at all, if your job is not a frontline why would you.
There are roles to fill in group pvp, some people heal, some people frontline, some people backline. You won’t be facetanking the enemy with mage now are you? Doesn’t necessarily mean we are turning it into pve. These are just basic tactics.
Well of course you get hit occasionally but then you nova, blink away, fire/frost ward, mana shield. Isn’t worth giving up 8 int 6 spirit and 14 sp imo, but it’s matter of preference.
Yes, it’s ranged, but its 20 yards, not 30-40, like, for example, your abilities. So you still have a pretty big deadzone for a pet. Don’t forget, LB has 50 focus cost, it can’t be spammed.
I just played WSG, noticed twice how BM hunter’s serpent attacked me. I was hit for 136 and 142 damage in a row with Lighting Breath. Dude, I making autoattacks to hit 200-300… my 16 lvl druid crits with Wrath for 100+.
Also I just red you playing WSG without WSG helmet… well. You should probably wear absolutely nothing and complain about damage taken after that.
I just explained, no point wearing that helmet if you are the last one to die and desperately need int and spellpower. I think I know my class enough, I only play mage.
Haha this is so true. Its franky quite funny all those players who ask for yet another hunter nerf are allways the players who are worst in the game. Just love the tears. If they erf hunter again, they prob allready making threads of the next thing…
Dude, cloth classes are very vulnerable for physical attacks, and you avoiding use very powerful defensive item because you “desperate for spellpower”. I am as a hunter very desperate for mana very much, so what? I can’t get everything, and damage, and attack power, and intellect, and spell power, and mana regen, I need to decide to pick something. You decided to stay back and pew pew pew with your magic, so why you are complain about how you are weak?
I just won another WSG, I noticed I was buffed by priest’ shield, got hit twice by serpent and I still had shield on.
One single instant cast from priest can save you from this “uber unstoppable hunter’s pet”.
I will explain again… a backline’s job in group pvp is to BACKLINE. If I’m taking any meaningful damage I’m doing a bad job, or my group already wiped, in which case makes 0 difference.
5% damage reduction would make the 200 LB into 190, is that even worth having a discussion over?
It’s not just about me, it’s about my whole team getting shredded by serpents, we basically get overwhelmed by numbers. The serpent has more hp, more armor, more resist and more damage than actual players. WSG is a complete zoo at this point.
Well. You answered to your question.
If you have a “BACKLINE-JOB”, it’s not mean you invulnerable down there, lol, did you ever thought about - enemy team can understand your “BACKLINE-JOB” and can interrupt it by hitting more vulnerable enemy? You should hit frontline chargers only if they went too far, in most 99% cases you HIT BACKLINERS. So if you are dying on backline - someone doing a bad job, yes, and someone doing good job to killing you.
If you are trying to kill warriors in front of you instead of hunters/priests/mages etc on the back, you always gonna lose, with hunter’s pets or without.
