This seems to be brought up whenever there is transmog news or a discussion. Whilst we have a handful of quivers in the game, in my opinion they look lackluster when they cannot be worn in combination with a cape.
If we take the quiver from Sylvanas as an example, it’s a drop but it takes the entire back transmog slot. If we take a look at Sylvanas’s model in SDD she is wearing a long, dark cape in combination with the quiver.
I’ve noticed we have a handful of “Toys” that when used will add something to the back of your character. Take the “Jolly Roger” as an example; 30 sec CD which applies a permanent Jolly Roger flag to your back (over your cloak) until cancelled.
Can we take this same concept and add some hunter quiver style toys/items, allow them to be earned by all but only used by hunters. Similar to how some toys require a profession etc.
I’m sure a much more refined solution can be applied in the future but I imagine it will take time if it involves changing the UI among other bits.
The only quivers that dont take up are a slot are the ones coupled with the legion artefact bows. They come as a couple and can be worn over capes, but they do clip through sometimes.
I personally don’t care. Capes generally look awful in this game.
But the sheer lack of styles/themes when it comes to quivers is what really bothers me. Where’s the crossbow bolt quivers that snap to your belt? Why is there only 1 single ammo pouch? Why do we only have essentially 2 quiver appearances? And yes: Where’s the backpacks with added on quiver or ammo pack?
I’d also love for them to find a better way to do belts across the chest or over the shoulders to at least suggest that stuff isn’t floating behind your back.
Yep these seem to be the only exception available to date.
I was also thinking they could add the quivers as an “illusion/enchant” as we have a transmog slot for that which is wasted as ranged weapons cannot have standard illusions.
The UI is already set up for it and there are plenty of models in the game that can take advantage of it.
