BM hunters should be one of the top 3 specs in damage in my opinion because hunter is one of the oldest classes in the game. It has a lot of things that need to be tracked as well as micromanaging your pet! Also, it has a large playerbase of people who are both new and those who are unable to play other specs due to limitations. Stop nerfing it and make it one of the best like it’s supposed to be.

I don’t understand where this stigma of “durrr bm hunter is easy” comes from. It has a tone of things that need tracking. All your damage relies on your pet which can die by the way and since you are an immunity class, guess what, raid soaking mechanics usually fall upon you. So even more things you need to keep track of.

No, BM Hunter is easy af. Everyone can learn it in 10 minutes. Sames as Ret Pally.

It’s popular because it literally is one of the easiest classes to play, alongside Retribution Paladins.
Every time a new comer asks what their first class should be, 95% of the time BM is suggested.
No ifs or buts, that’s a fact.

All three Hunter specs were pretty obnoxious in PvP last season. I’m glad to see BM being toned down, no AI pet spec should be viable in competitive content.

Hunters were added last to vanilla. Druids second to last.
The reason for this was that they were complex to implement with the food mechanic and pet stables and pet talents and the arrows and all of that.
Stuff that’s all gone now. Everything that made hunters complex and interesting is gone, leaving us with probably the simplest class in the game.
The oldest classes in WoW are the warrior and the mage.
Hunters should therefore be the weakest class of the original 9 and I should by default destroy your robotic face.

IMO BM had its time in the spotlight for quite a while
apart from Survival, that spec is super hard to play, in terms of rotation and plates
id rate it just under Enhancement shammy for complexity
Survival was added last to Hunters, and the current version didn’t exist until Legion. It was a ranged spec.

ret paladin is miles easier than bm hunter
BM hunters are boring, you don’t feel like you’re playing a character, more like playing a manager who delegates most things. Your pets and dires do most of the actual killing.
Levelled 3 in Remix, roughly about 8 hours each by questing.

So are Druid and Paladin, and honestly the difference between the classes is a few % tops.
So all in all, all classes are played pretty equally.
