Hunter stable master - additional slots

Hello,
I’m writing here to give a suggestion to expand hunter stable master slots by a few. To be honest if you are driven player and want to play MM/BM/SV as pvp and pve you need several different pets. Now we have 4 stable master slots, and… I really need more…

  1. Ravager for mm and sv pvp
  2. Crab for mm and sv pvp
  3. Wolf for mm and sv pve
  4. Core hound for bm pvp
  5. Wasp for bm pvp
  6. Worm for bm pvp
  7. Different wolf for bm pvp if I don’t want to respec my wolf every time i want to play arena…

Those pets are needed to play in a different scenarios, different comps or just to have some fun on BG’s also we could mention here some hunters that want to collect all the spirit beasts and hold them… Where?

So as i said expand hunter stable master slots by a few, 2-3 even one could be beneficial and it won’t harm the game and classic vibe in any way. I’m really convinced that hunters don’t want to lvl theirs pet from 75 to 80 every time they want to try something new…

While, I am against most qol changes, I actually wouldn’t mind this one overly much. People want to own different pets for many reasons, inclusing competitiveness, like you mentioned, or even just rp or style. You can get attached to your pet(s), even if it is not best in slot for whatever. You shouldn’t have to send them away, because the stable master refuses to take them in. That’s just mean.

Just a stupid question … did you get two new slots with pre-patch? I have not used up my capacity yet, so I can’t tell.

Also there are 4 spirit beasts for BM hunter, you have 4 slots but we all know that Spirit Beast isn’t the best for pve nor pvp…

Couldn’t expect more from you

I thank you for being observant and knowledgeable of my work here on the forums. :*

Yes but those two where up from 3 to 5. With TBC the Stable Number stayed the same and with WotLK they decided to up it to 5 as you so should have effective 3 more spaces for the new exotic pets. Because with TBC you still needed one Petplace for learning wild animals attacks and now they are all learned automatic.
With Cata they increased Stablestorage to 20 and with MoP they increased it to 50 what is the current retail maximum.

So if they expanded it in further expansions why wouldn’t they add at least one or 2 slots in wrath classic? It is really frustrating when you want to play bm for BGs and after that you have to respec again to MM to play arena because you have pve offpsec…

I am not sure what to think about it.

On one hand, I understand the need for more spaces, collecting rare spirit beasts, having unhealthy relationship with your first pet etc.

On the other hand, wotlk is still about decision making. It is a bit similar : I hate the fact that I have to change talents before raids ( need to be able dps and tank ) and then I have to switch it back to ( pvp dps and tank ). It would be lovely to have 3rd set of talents, but I just feel that it does not belong there. It is, what it is.

Seriously I am not able to tell if I am pro or against. O.o

Personally I am more against it. Because having a stable full of Pets can be nice, in the end the collection is just that. A collection. In Retail the Pet just exist, some feel still nostalgic about it as it is their long time partner but for most it just became throw away exchangeable power because of all the easiness of it. In Classic we went long ways just to train it, get the best attacks or even it and took care of it and despite all the hazzle it became a loved friend. Actually from my opinion because of this hazzle as animals do work and in exchange they give us their love. From my opinion actually even the automatic boosting to 5 level below your own is already to much. But the limited number of stable places at least ensures that we stay with the partner we made and not abandon him for the next shiny animal we see.

But as i said i just need more than 4 stable slots to pvp and pve as BM and MM, without even mentioning collecting spirit beasts.
1 wolf pve
2 crab pvp
3 wasp pvp bm
4 core hound pvp bm
5 worm pvp bm
and if i want something different like ravager for pvp or different wolf for bm pvp (not the one with pve talents) i just need to lvl pet again…

This is actually a QOL change that i think no1 would mind and would bring some fun in “collecting” pets for hunters.

GRRR More automation. I don’t like … but more slots for you … that is an OK change  Big words from an old #NoChanger.

One or two additional slots, well this shouldn’t harm anyone. Good idea

There are no problems like this in retail wow. Why would we want them in classic? I know that many people want #nochanges, but with the actual state of changes and dungeons +, additional stable master slots feels like nothing

Really useful idea, I want all my spirit beasts!

So no chance for additional slot?

As a main Hunter i agree with that.

Warlocks have no issues of this type with pets. I don’t get why hunters should have them. If not for every spec just give those poor beast masters additional slot with last talent in the BM tree

Because your pet is like your slave
Hunter are friends with animals.

And for the gameplay, there is many different pet and we need them for diferente purpose.
You have already all you need in your spellbook, not us
