Hunter Tracking

I specifically remember that in the Burning Crusade, hunter could clearly distinguish (while using tracking) friend from foe on the mini map. For example -

Enemy NPCs - Red dots with yellow circles
Friendly NPCs - Green, Yellow, etc. (depending on your standing) with yellow circles
Enemy players - Red dots with silver(white) circles

Does Blizzard intend to fix this?

PS - I do appreciate showing if the mobs are either above or below you

it did not exist in TBC u have to look for foot steps on ground :stuck_out_tongue:
the TBC hunter tracking is better then current retail tracking beocurse u can see rogues footstep on ground what u cant see on retail …

Your memory is deceiving you. It was not implemented until Wrath.

(10) Toxicshock - SkullCrusher EU PvP - BM Hunter -The Beast is Here - YouTube Please check this video for reference, it was back in the final patch of the Burning Crusade and before the Pre-Patch of Wrath of The Lich King as you can clearly see how the skills work while playing.

May there be absolutely no doubt that what I am saying is true. Now, will Blizzard actually do something about this?

You are correct.
Say you tracked humanoids, hostile players would show as little larger red dots.

I’m raking my brain to remember if Track Humanoids on my Druid had “friend or foe” marking - but I really can’t remember. I think I have a memory of such a functionality being added at some point - but I can’t for the life of me remember when that was.
