In the light of latest changes to nameplate’s visibility range which was originally introduced in Wotlk…
Can we have hunter’s ammo stacks for 1000 instead of 200? This absolutely necessary change was also introduced in Wotlk (just before Blizzard completely removed ammo from the game). I think every hunter back to actual Burning Crusade is familiar how it was annoying to take break in raid in order to buy some more ammo.
They could just remove that annoy ammo limit but dont think they going to change that
Or you just make sure you have bought more than enough ammo to last the entier raid before hand
Hexx see no problem with raising ammo/arrow stack to 1000.
Havin’ been a hunter back in da day before becoming a medicine man, Hexx was sometimes slightly annoyed wit da need to carry a lot of extra ammo/arrows in da bags.
It hurt no one, mon. Hexx supports dis.
He’d still need to buy it, it just wouldn’t take all of his bagspace
He complained about going out of raid to buy it though not that he actually have to buy it he still would have if it went up to 1k per stack
Yes so if it stacks to 1000 he could carry way more and thus not go out of the raid to go buy more ammo and go back
3200 ammo should be more than enoug for a single raid night though and a 16 slot ammo bag is not that hard to get in tbc
you have never played a hunter in tbc. BMs have 50% haste without any gear on their character.
Even the TBC 24 slot pouches/quivers don’t last you for one farm run through hyjal,bt,eye and ssc.
You had - or will have to - to hop back to buy more timeless arrows while the raid moves to the other raids and then request a port to catch up
…or gimp your dps by going with the pleb option to just hearthstone to grab peasant crafted ammo from your mail box
The short version to this topic is. There is a good reason why the Ammunition Stack size was increased in later patches (and eventually why it got completely removed)
If we grant hunters that, do we then grant warlocks a way to generate shards out of thin air too when they come complainin’ that they have it even worse? Tbc is tbc. Deal with it or play another class.
Don’t you have 4 other bags…?
why would you run all 4 of those in one night and not split over 2 nights? makes no sense to me at all.
Why are you complaning, just get the legendary bow and don’t worry about arrows anymore.
So in short, you ask for more convenience.
I raided as a hunter in vanilla/TBC and now classic. Ammo for me was never a problem since I prepared all my stuff and consumables before the raid and knew how long they’d last me. And it was an enjoyable thing to do, like feeding your pet, bringing food for it etc. And I also loved having a different quiver slot to put your ammo.
This is one of the RPG flavours of the hunter class. It adds a unique feeling to the class. Just like shamans have to carry ankhs in their bags, paladins need to carry symbols of divinity&kings. Warlock carry soul shards. Mages carry arcane dust and runes of teleportation/portal. Druid carry seeds. Priests carry candles.
Classic wow and classic MMORPGs aren’t about convenience. They are about class fantasy and RPG elements. Just do your planning well and you won’t have any issues.
Also, if you are running 4 raids in a single night, I’m sure you will find the time to visit your mailbox in between one of those raids and restock your ammo. I don’t think your GM would kick you out of the guild because of that.
Ammo goes in an ammo pouch, arrows go in a quiver.
Ammo means ammunition, comes from the French word “La munition”, which translates as war supplies.
But they are not the same in World of Warcraft. If it was the case you would only need an ammo pouch not a quiver for arrows.
Don’t blame me. Blame the game you are angry with.
I prefer to blame you.
Yes, I’ve noticed that, and quite a lot too.
you have 3 other bags -1 for the ammo bag
you have swap gear like every other raider
you have a ton of fel mana / haste pots with you
food for pet, buff food for pet, buff food for your character, agi scrolls or your pet, str scrolls for your pet
flasks, elixir combos because demon slaying only lasts 5 minutes. => a ton off demon slaying elixirs
