Hunters and loot in pugs

Saw 3 bows of +5 strength get thrown into the bin cause needy hunters equip them right away, only to need on the gun afterwards.

Basically, I know some great hunters, but avoid pugging with them. They don’t care if they have to vendor raid loot needed by other classes.

whats wrong with needing on + strength bow? - in 48 hours, we all go melee.
its a hunteritem. so are the epic melee weapons in p2. equal prio to warriors, unless its a mace. and anything else u may want as warrior, that isnt plate armor.

u can thank blizzard for this.
hunters dont want it, and other melee shouldnt either. but thats the state of it now.

Sadly there are some bad guys out there.
Personally i never rolled for the Str-Bow with my Hunter even when it was a upgrade.

I mean, if an upgrade is an upgrade then it’s an upgrade, it’s not their fault that the better upgrade drops later.
Blame BFD’s awful loot table design.
(I do think you should hold off on equipping anything until you leave the raid after the main boss tho’, just in case)

hard & fast rule in our guild

On our raids we have a master loot who pich up every itemls then he dispatch them at the end of the raid. So every one can see all the items before choosing the one they want.

I agree with every reply posted so far, I think all of them are the correct ways to handle these situations.

I have personally also experienced the exact opposite scenario, where people who would win a roll would announce they would not equip it until the end of the raid, so that if a better item dropped for them theybcould pass the first item to someone else who also needed it.

Ill say the same thing when I need that gun for pvp purposes vs hunters aswell!

Thats why you go with SR runs in pugs and + 1

Hardly the same thing but ok.

And as hunter myself il see no problem with that. I personnaly let a war took the gun while i have a bow less efficient and i have the gun later.

His point is they equipped it straight away instead of waiting to see if the gun dropped.

If they hadn’t equipped it they could have needed the gun and traded the bow.

I always tell the Loot Master to do loot after the last boss. Makes the raid go smoother and avoids these situations.
