Well among all classes these three are most difficult (if we are talkin about resto druid and not demo warlock) but i dont think games below 1800 are quiet representative
id rather take opinions from someone playing every class to 1800 than people that have never played the class they are moaning about
that might be a hot take. but half of the posts on the forums are from people with 0 experience in that class
wish there was some sort of filter on the forums, where you could only provide feedback if you have played the class
if i was on the balance team : id be looking less into the " DPS" and more into these:
warlock would be ok if Burning rush wasnt giga bad, for mobility.
rogue would be ok if it wasnt for being locked into double vanish on the rogue tree
Druid would be ok if could actual heal properly or have some sort of defence outside of bear
thats 100% true
but dps is all you need to get 1800. For instance
between these two specs only fury can be called meta because he can perform thunder with FOTM ele and hpala while the difficulty in dealing dmg is about the same. meta is not just about how easy to deal damage but also about how many setups you can play and how strong your allies are
p.s i agree that if you cant get 1800 you shouldt complain about anything and you need to pay attention on pressing pve rotation correctly
Says the sham. Run around going hurr durr and spamming instant lavas for millions.
I wish you best of luck casting 1 single chaos bolt let alone 3 in a row.
First of all there is a big difference if we are talking about arenas or BGs,
Arenas are smaller and therefore getting on the hunter or the lock would be easier.
On a BG hunters are completely nightmare…they can simply kite and kill you before you can do anything. Locks on the other hand if they find the chance to cast then you are pretty much dead within 2 casts but as i said in BGs where there is a lot of chaos and space it’s much easier than the arena.
Have you ever tried to play with it around 2,2k mmr?
Tanks? We have no speed buff, no dmg immunity.
We can easily countered with Groundings, Tremors, Feign deaths, Spell reflects, these just half the dmg output.
The whole shuffle is about we are just running and dropping out instant things and fake casting the whole game.
Every class has some spell to counter a lock witch is very sensitive.
For example. In arena at higher ratings shamans counter me with a well timed grounding. If my soul rot goes into a grounding almost 300k dmg lost from my rotation.
If a rog cloacked that, or my Darkglare first summon, my whole dmg drops around 200k.
Paladin divine shield, spellwarding, DH with reflect or netherward, Monks with diffuse magic, while they are just popping 4-5 buttons which automatically do 500k dmg.
Dks are the worst, with AMZ and AMS, ranged interrupts etc.
It’s no coincidence that the warlock is always the killtarget, regardless of any comp.
I have so much problems against devastation evokers (with all of my alts) cause they can do 1 million dmg at opener during a single stun.
Yes, we have portals every 20-25 sec depending on talents, but keep in mind that every class has better mobility than warlock. (shadowstep, grappling, rush, monks rolls etc)
in general I don’t understand the complaints people have about the “tankyness” of the warlock.
I’ve been playing warlock since 2004 and this season for me it’s particularly weaker in defensives than in the past. In fact, in the EU and US forums, most of the topics opened by warlocks concern the request for an improvement in defensive.
Same thing for damage: they complain about spells that require setup and alignment of proc and cd when at the same time there are different classes that produce a decidedly higher amount of damage in less time
