I play a Human Marksmanship Hunter in retail, and with Hero Talents I can choose to be a Sentinel, or a Dark Ranger… two distinctly race-based trees, either Nightelf or Forsaken(elf)
Dark Ranger summons Death Hounds, while the Sentinel summons a spirit owl that calls down lunar beams…
Where’s the Robin Hood hero talent? the “I’m just a guy with a gun”?
What gives, Blizz? I don’t see the other hero talents being so heavily skewed towards one race… I play on a roleplay server for a reason, I take this very seriously, how the aesthetics of my class comes across heavily impacts how likely I am to play it.
I guess you can be a guy with a gun who had a nelf friend that he lost and took over the spirit owl when she died, or one decided it liked you and simply won’t bugger off.
I mean I totally understand it. As an Orc, I feel I can only go Pack Leader. Sure, I could have learnt some tricks from my dark ranger pals or picked up on sentinel skills from fighting them in Ashenvale or working with them in Amirdrassil… but neh.
I totally understand you. As a big dwarf fan, I always wanted to main Dwarf Hunter (like in the Warcraft Classic trailer) but the hunter theme for the spells are clearly designed for bow users rather than guns.
