Hunters can use 1h sword

Hey guys, I read that hunters can use 1h swords, but also read that they cant dual wield?

I’m new to hunter, I dont care which spec i play, but wanted to use my Thunderfury… is this not possible? :confused:

I’m fine with my weapon not being BiS, but obviously if it’s a huge neg in stats I’ll have to leave it

You can wield a 1h sword but it won’t do anything for you in combat. To be able to fight you need a 2h polearm or stave with agility on it but that is only for the survival spec. The other two specs require a bow/gun/crossbow.
