Please stop this madness. Unavoidable silence, petstun, trap (can be talented to become undispellable), scatter, undispellable snare, even fear if you are a cat, 90% (?) slow and almost all of it is usable every Dr. Everything except fear is instant too. Huge consistent damage on top.
Isn’t it bit too much? How about cutting it down a little? Not even rogues have this much. Put freezing tap on 45 sec cd or something, scatter on same talent as steel trap and petstun at the same talent as binding shot.
Reduce diamond ice trap to 4 sec. Remove chimeral sting entirely. Just do something. Playing Vs hunters in 2s is impossible as a non hunter and even if you manage to win it will be the most disgusting game ever played.
Imo they are not too different from other classes.

Hunters are s+++ tier. Just nerf them!
And to much mobility, should be reduced. Damage is to high for that mobility.

All physical snares are undispellable. Hunter snare is an active ability with CD (unlike most physical snares, many specs having cdless snare either actively, or passively baked into rotational abilities), and 90% snare is a lie. The only time you get 90% snare is for 3 secs, from chimaeral sting (a pvp talent).
Undispellable trap has reduced duration. Normal trap can be dispelled, and breaks with damage. Both iterations of the traps can be either missed by the hunter, or completely nullified by stuff like fade, grounding totem, team mates stacking on the healer to try to eat the trap, etc. Scare Beast is not a worthy talent due to its position, and it’s pretty irrelevant in the scope of things (and again can be countered by any druid who knows how to react). Pet stun has long cooldown, and is most of the times used on the healer to guarantee you can trap it afterwards. Scatter DRs with trap, breaks with damage, and is usually used on the second dps.
On top of this all, hunters are made of wet tissue paper, so just stop.
Look at warlocks, for example, with absurd CC toolkit (snares, multi target horrify, cdless fear, multiple stuns), absurd damage and absurd survability. Look at most melee as well and their unavoidable CC toolkits.
I’d adore to watch you play hunter against melee, especially warrs, and telling afterwards it has “too much mobility”

It’s already criminal that pet stun is 3 sec on 1 min cd, and trap being 6 sec. People might spend less time crying on forums and try getting better instead. Also no one cares about 2s, same as always.
They damage they pull out is amazing and paired with their utility it just becomes crazy. I agree.
I ment overall, there is to much damage and cc with all the ms effects and heal absorb effects in the game. Either remove dampening or the ms heal reduce effects from the player or don’t let them stack.
Then reduce damage by at least 10-20% depends on the class. Affliction i would say 15% but not on Oblivion this is rn good enough to be considered playable.

Consider taking the trap for your healer, CCing the hunter when he pet stuns before the trap
Hunters have historically been one of the best specs in 2v2, just like Rogues and Resto druids. But the game isn’t balanced around 2v2. If more Sub rogues were interested in 2v2, they would literally remove every hunter from the top of the ladder except Bicmex and Satana

Hunter’s always had crazy mobility and high dmg, the reason behind it was the minimun range required to do said dmg, which is not present anymore.
Hunter needs more CC to survive or else they flop hard. I have made a ticket to blizz to make steel trap back to 8 sec (from 6 sec) and pet stun back to 5 sec (from 3 sec) hunter got hit hardest with cc nerf and its completely unacceptable.
Also mm needs to have binding shot back. The 8 sec magical root.
Chimaeral sting is a joke talent only 3 sec on 1 min!!! cd. Take a better look on other things garrote SPAM or DKs incedible low cd 5 sec silence.

The most impactful nerf was for sure Blind (6.8sec → 5sec and you cannot sap off of), however Cheap shot was buffed from 3.4sec → 4sec, allowing for 1 more GCD inside which was big for Sub. Assa got nerfed yeah…
However hunter was also heavily targeted. Intimidation got from 4.25sec → 3sec (1 min CD, disproportionately long as other 3sec stuns in the game are around 30sec for most specs) and trap got from 6.8sec → 6sec which I guess wasn’t that bad, considering that Diamond ice trap got from 4.25sec → 5sec. But that intimidation nerf… I still can’t get over it
Thats what im trying to make people who lives in fantasy to understand. Rogue is the only class that gets buffed every expansion and every season. Blind had to be REMOVED from the game and not ‘nerfed’ and cheap shot is so toxic to the game it can stun entire RBG team and set them completely out of play for many seconds. Which other class can do that? No one! Its so crazy I can NEVER EVER comprehend how blizz allows it.
Suggestion: Remove blind and make cheap shot on CD 4 sec so rogue cant restun.

Because Hunters get ran over by heavy melees in other game modes. Especially double melees. But clearly you have never played one to understand that.
When there’s 2 DPS in general, if at least 1 is Melee, and both are trying to kill a Hunter, the odds of the hunter getting killed are higher than for some other specs.
