Hunters need some love

Blizzard give hunters, a shield, or self healing or something that every other class has. You have nerfed the legendary too much that hurts our survivability even more. It is like you do not even play the game. With the statements you make “…than we’d like …” i feel like you just get some stats showing some numbers and without even playing the game you just do changes blindly. Such a waste people work to make players hate their class they like to play more… making it so that everyone play the fotm everytime.

BM and Survival are still top specs with high consistent dmg and strong utility. The craven nerf was long overdue, way too toxic design against dot dependant classes especially. MM might not be that good in solo content but they can dish out absolutely monster one tap bursts in large scale pvp where you can’t reach them that easily.

YOu still have 1 of the strongest defensive legendary’s in the game, craven timed well you remove the hardest bleeds,dots etc and wont even have to sweat about it. and you can use it faster then any cooldown in the game.

i have a hunter alt.
You have turtle , immunity vs big attacks.
Mending bandage still exist as survival. removes again all bleeds etc. you are the biggest counter vs many specs still.
you have a selfheal from 10% to full instantly including your pet.
Pets that rampage trough the arena / bg / world pvp and do massive damage.
marksman ship can shoot somebody from 100% to 0 in seconds. and you dont even need to build up shards,combo points,powers etc.
hunter is litterally still S+ tier you dont need buffs. and the mobility reaches furder then alot of classes who claimed to be best with mobility.
Craven nerf is finally here and again its bvarely changes anything if you know how to use it.

The nerf is overall fine. You wont need craven unless you’re playing dots and you just have to think more about when to use it now.

Don’t forget the pet sac.

MM is absolutely destroying everyone in large scaled combat. Love it. Cant comment on sv or bm as I dont play those 2 specs

a panda bm hunter with tanky pets and on 14 cr gear have over 100k+ hp and is very tanky plus mobile when traited kindred spirit plus roar.
the survival is fine but they lack burst skils a bit

hunters are anything but tanky.

the heal is completely useless, because more often than not it heals maybe 15k.

Pet sac is great, but it doesn’t really prevent dmg. Many classes don’t even rely on crits making it basically just a 20% dmg reduction. Also doesn’t work if you disable the pets first.

turtle is great, but cannot even be used while stunned unlike the big counter immunities like bubble or ice block. Also you can just die in turtle (without craven).

so basically without craven, hunters are quite weak in the defensive department, which would be technically fine because they have long range, although with all the mobility of most melees, that isn’t a big advantage at least in arena.

Of course all hunters are quite busted in bgs by default if they stay with the team, but that goes for most casters as well.

still feels better to play hunter than enhance shaman as in terms of suvivability. try face tanking a fury warrior without being able to escape and heal yourself for 40% less… fun times

Mm hunters can do fine being solo in bgs too though.

on mine bm hunter alt i use the heal trinket what heals you and give extra morale.
after i use that trinket i press mine hunter heal and you wil just go instant up to full hp.
also with leach pets she have 20% leach and with speed gear with speed pets she is as fast as mount.
compared to a shadow priest a bm is just god mode

because a shadow priest has definitely more defensives and they are also more effective and much shorter cd as well. they also have a passive dmg mitigation.

and still shadow is squishy once you used the def cds which into 2 melees will happen quite fast.

playing shadow into cleaves feels terrible but so does hunter.
and playing hunter into rogue mage feels just like you can just lay down pretend to be drad from the start anyways. once your trinket was used, you are done for anyways.
roar of sac doesnt even prevent a combust shadowdance kill

IDK what people are playing but for sure that is not hunter… I cannot think of a single other class that does not have a short baseline defensive, e.g blur, antimagic shell, evasion, shield of vengeance, shields, etc… hunters need something more as every other class has. BLIZZARD has to do something about it

Physical dot that makes top out of your DPS?
Infinite mobility with immunity to slows?
Ability to remove all dots and bleeds on demand, multiple times if surv including teammates?
Instant cc that can be used every dr?
Strong defense cooldown with low cd that can be used while in cc including on teammates too?
Physical root? Binding shot that doesn’t break on damage?
Yeah think of the poor hunterinos.

Sure, Lower all 3 spec’s dmg with 50% and reduce turtle cd with 50%.

I could agree with this.

In general especially in arena dmg should be tuned down… you cannot have 30-37% versa and still die in 2 secs because of insane dmg

me only play pvp im maybe not the best but stil on mine bm in arena mage/rog is just a free win.
i think you never tryed out different pets.
i love to collect pets with mine hunter i have mine whole stable filled with them every pet does different things so every enemy wil need a different pet.
against mages i use a dispel pet for example to dispel the ice roots on mine pet
