Nice to see people coming back to this server, and Europe starting to get a populated roleplaying realm again! Thanks to anyone who took FCMs or has stuck with Hydraxian the entire time. Let’s hope it can continue and Hydraxian pushes towards “High” population.
Without roleplaying.
At this point, roleplayers or non roleplayers, it all helps the server. Providing non roleplayers don’t use non RP friendly names and don’t abuse/harass roleplayers who are roleplaying, I don’t see any issue with it I’ve played on RP realms for years and never roleplayed. I always respect the RP rules though.
They just closed the other one.
It is getting pretty crowded and somehow the standart of behaviour is slipping since the server population has grown so much.
- LFG channel is total gibberish, nobody is making an effort to write interesting adverts.
- Some people tag mobs or grab resources when somebody has just cleared the area to reach them.
- Every day, I see names that are a no-go on an RP server. Also more ooc in /s channel.
- We get some flaming/name calling in the LFG channel from boasting pro-gamers.
I really hope this will improve. I liked the RP servers for being small, familiar and friendlier than the WOW mainstream and I would really miss it when that changes.
Good evening. I was thinking of transferring an Alliance character from Venoxis to this server. I have no RP experience at all, however, was always strongly interested to try RP, even in vanilla days. Therefore, I was thinking of “risking it” and wanted to ask if there is enough population. I do not search for an overcrowded server such as Venoxis. But I would like a server with “normal” names, so elvish names for Nightelfs, etc. and a server where people are nice to each other. I hope you can answer my question.
If you are unsure, maybe make a level 1 night elf and join the World Tree for some tea in Darnassus on Sunday at 20:00. Or, coming from Venoxis, if you are looking for a German guild to rp with, check out the Lillies of Stratholme. Nobody will care that you are not experienced in rp. Everybody is always excited for “fresh blood”.
Nobody knows how HW will develop population wise, but quite a few people have been coming over to escape queues. Maybe somebody active on Alliance side would care to add how things are at the moment?
Thank you for your advice. I have done what you suggested and was happy with the results. So, I have transferred my character and giving the whole new experience a shot.
It’s true that RP is less developed on Horde side than on Alliance side. However, it’s not inexistent. There are several guilds on the Horde side doing some roleplay.
Also the fact that there has been a surge of population at WotLK launch doesn’t help to find the Roleplayers because a lot of people are there just to avoid the queue on other realms and not here to roleplay. Let’s see how it evolves in the coming months…
Welcome to Hydraxian Waterlords server then!
That’s what I ment.
Alot of Gehennas elitists etc transferred over to Hydrax and Mograine, but Mograine is full sooooo…
I don’t understand why would they do that…on the other hand that would explain all these questions about ‘dead server’ from few months but coming here to avoid queue time instead of RP (at the first place!) is just wrong.
It’s always hard to know what will happen on the road ahead.
But now that we are a medium server it should be easier to predict the future, right?

Hey, I have been slowly leveling here as a Horde priest, My name is Praised ( Hope the name is ok ). It is very quiet and I’m still looking to do my first dungeon. Thought I would say hello to everyone
