Hyped for Legion Remix!

i think most of 1% players would keep the rarest stuff like glad mounts, titles, m+ mounts, tabards etc gaten to seasons, i know not a single person personally who would change that other than 1 mw monk that makes pvp vids xd also I dont believe all fomo should be difficult to obtain because player base is varied and some easier stuff like current elite sets being basically a participation reward at this point are fomo but still in a year or two will be something unique. same for 2k mount etc

I can’t talk for PvP, but certainly those who PVE (Raid/M+) that I’m referring to don’t feel that any of it needs to be kept from the player base.

Anything I have that others don’t I would gladly make available to all. I’m not remotely a high end player ofc.

Thanks for your response

But surely Kil’Jaeden is much easier now than during Legion? Why does killing him now during TWW still reward a variant of the original colour? If we’re identifying the MT appearances as prestigious then realistically all of the alternative colours should’ve been removed from the game during pre-patch BFA.

Instead all of the alternative colours are still available to do this day provided that you have completed the original tower so you can get 2 colours of the original form without ‘participating’ when it was current and essentially one-shotting
legacy content. 3 colours if you consider pvp.

I do love witnessing someone applying to the legendary 1% of the population, as if their feelings on the matter (which don’t seem that unified with how many people here say that they both possess the removed stuff and would like it back for the others) would suddenly be more important than those of everyone else. As if they are more important, or more significant, or are worth more money for the devs than many more people preferring things to be different? Truly, there is nothing as spectacular as segregating people based on whether they were at the right place at the right time.

Now im no druid (Dragon goes BRrrrrrr) and I can understand why druids wants the form maybe more then any other person wants magetower back but have they said a hard “NO” on new forms? For all we know they could release new and/or recoloured variants tied to a currency in remix. We know far to little yet. Or did I miss something?

Not really. All the reason to play LeMix was the Mage appearances and as they are not obtainable there is very little reason to go back there and waste time

The point is usually that those players have unlocked most of the difficult stuff because they are very good at the game, not that their opinion matters more than anyone else’s. I imagine the views are mixed but the ones I’ve seen on twitter etc are in favour of unlocking it for all. They don’t see the need to gate it from the playerbase.

That’s the issue most of those hyped for Legion remix was based around obtaining the unobtainable, which considering the numbers that played Legion to those that did not for one reason or another will be in the majority these days, again I beg to differ as they wont be a minority these days but a majority but I’m not here to argue over it only pointing out the folly

Blizzard’s game so their rules though I can easily see many who were hyped not even bothering for the lack on ‘inclusion’ that Blizzard claims to stand for until the whole prestige sillyness is used for gate keeping

Like I said, time will tell and we shall see how this one plays out

I definitely fall into this category: absolutely hyped to not bothering if the MT artifacts aren’t reintroduced.

What would be the point otherwise?

-Feel like a god and one shot mythic bosses?I can do that on retail.

  • Legion Loremaster? have that.
  • Legion reps? Maxed those.
  • Legion fishing artifact? have that.
  • Legion sets? Have those.
  • Class halls? In the famous words of Jay: ‘Completed it mate’

Mounts don’t motivate me to play as a Druid main. However, I would’ve dedicated all of my play time to Legion Remix if these had been obtainable or at least a compromise of a range of recolours in their original form.

Yeah, the only thing that might motivate me is a potential new unique collection of transmog items like they did in MoP Remix. If those items look good, I’ll definitely play it to get them.

To me the biggest issue I have with all of this is that Blizzard is picking the side of a small group of greedy players over everyone else, without even an easy ‘bone to throw us’ like a recolour. It’s so utterly completely tonedeaf.

People who get involved in the games Challenges. Such as Questing, Dungeons, Raiding, and very loosely Delves.

That’s very mean.

I think it might not be your reality. But there are many people who play the game for its challenges, not for making their characters look nice.

So when they get a reward which shows off their achievements, they like to use it.

The thing is, they’re too busying playing the game, to be chatting about it on the forums.

I’m only here because we’re waiting for a Tank to pop in our queue. I guess all the Tanks are busy doing all this Solo content that Blizzard see to be making at the moment.

I appreciate opinions are mixed on the topic. I have always pointed that out.

But, sometimes you need to state the opposite to others to help them to realise that the opinion is mixed.

The reality is that Blizzard don’t want to upset 1 group of players to appease another group who seems to be getting all the attention at the moment.

Really? I had so much fun in Mist Remix, that I know that Legion is going to be so much more fun!

It has very little to do with the collections. It’s about playing a game for fun. And if I get a little flex items at the end of it, awesome!

Majority of us that are wanting mage tower appearances to become available (not necessarily in legion remix) just want them reintroduced so when people ask us where we got them we can point them in a direction of how to obtain it instead of having to tell them they will never get it. Let it be the carrot on the stick instead, removing things that look cool will never be motivational for players that couldn’t be here at the time, the more things removed the less motivation to bother getting into the game. But I’ve read your posts, I can’t be bothered arguing with someone that can’t see it from the other side (remember I already have the skins myself).

I think we’ll see some new stuff as well as collecting the existing

Yeah most likely. But it’ll depend on what it is.
I am not interested in certain styles or themes, so it all depends on what these items are and look like.

As for existing stuff and/or unreleased stuff: I have less interest. I played Legion extensively and basically have everything I want. A recolour of some existing questing set or something isn’t going to motivate me.

We may not get the original Mage Tower artifact appearances but we should at least get recolors of them, just like we got the Fel Bear recolor of the Werebears and the Tomb of Sargeras sets recolors when the Mage Tower came back for Legion timewalking.
A majority of people were happy that they got added and there is no reason to not add recolors of the Mage Tower artifact apperances, it is a Remix after all.

Like if you agree.

Tone deaf is a good way to put it and hopefully the current community sentiment might make them reconsider this decision.

This thread has 415 posts.
The US forum’s equivalent post has close to 3,000 posts not including subsidiary threads.
Wowhead has 32 pages and 650 comments.

Personally, I feel the best solution would be to put this to a community vote and see what happens. If 51% of the community say that they don’t want them to return, I could live with that.

When MOP remix was announced, I remember there being some disappointment that the challenge mode sets weren’t included but for the most part it was accepted. Although, both rewards fall under the banner of challenging- for me, it seems a bit of a stretch to equate another armour set (albeit as beautiful as they are)with the class fantasy of the artifact weapons.

It should be evident to Blizzard how much these appearances mean to the community and it is a massive oversight on their part to underestimate how the community would feel about their absence in Legion Remix.

They were just such an integral part of the Legion experience.
The MoP challenge sets weren’t. That’s the big difference between the two and why a lot of players are so passionate to see these appearances (or at the very least a recoloured version) be part of Legion Remix.

The resentment is also added by the devs themselves going against their own principles. Pandaria was presented to us without dungeon challenges and the legendary questline, all as we know it now. Which, admittedly, was a horrendous decision, at least regarding the quests and the lore attatched to them, but it at least made some sense not to return things proclaimed to be permanently gone. Here they go against all this by adding things that, according to what we know, shouldn’t have been around, like the violet spellwing mount from heroic Antorus or the Chosen transmog from a feat of strength. Not to mention the Mad World achievement from the actual game, something that also wasn’t going to return. And when this happens on a whim, people rightfully want more. Not only because it’s long overdue, or because how awesome are these weapons. Just because they see it can be done, and the devs’ words aren’t worth a copper in this regard.

I completely agree with this. For them to cherry-pick and identify to the community what is and isn’t prestigious seems at best inconsistent - at worst, ignorant of the wishes of its own community.

I’ve reflected on this thread and tried to understand why Blizzard would announce this news so early. For example, news that MOP challenge modes not returning was spread to the community in around mid April with the start of remix being mid May. What are we now? 4-5 months away from Legion Remix? It could be cope- but could it be that Blizzard are gauging community sentiment with the aim of looking like heroes when they ‘listened’ and reintroduced Mage Tower Appearances further down the line? Just a thought…

Looking at the roadmap, it has, towards the end, a green line, which likely indicates legion remix’s period starting between october and november.
