Very disappointing… it has removed all the hype for Legion Remix for me as I was quietly optimistic that the artifact weapons would be re-added during this event.
I, for one, won’t be playing Legion Remix unless this decision is overturned.
I’ve mained a Druid since the start of TWW and the current (albeit limited) options for shape shifting aren’t really scratching the itch of class fantasy that I would like. When I see a Druid charging into packs of mobs as a white werebear , or meandering around a capital city using their purple pridemother form- I don’t stand in awe and marvel at their amazing achievements - instead I think that it’s not a great feeling that I will never get chance to earn them myself …
Really hope this decision is overturned and let rest of the playerbase have a fair but challenging chance at obtaining the forms too.
Yy but were do they draw the line??? Some rewards are fine to give away some are not ???
Slime cat from shadowlands came back the legion curve mount is about to come back but the pandaria curve mount didnt???
They are full of double standarts make it make sense.
Such a flawed logic
Its like only stuff one of the devs is missing or smthg comesback
None of those things were removed form the game with the explicit promise to not return.
What returned from the game with the explicit promise of not returning: The brutosaur.
They said that they were permanently removing it apart from BMAH, said that they did not want all the players to have an AH mount, then saw that they can make a serious amount of money from that.
So what did they do? they went around their promise by making the same functionality on a reskin of the mount, which no one could argue against.
They draw the line on rewards that they specifically announce that are gonna retire and not come back.
Example: Brutosaur, gladiator mounts
When they do not promise such things they are more open.
Example: Tier 3 sets
If you can’t get the Mage Tower skins, LRemix is pointless. It’s literally the only thing I was waiting for this event for. I’ve been playing since 2022 and I physically had no way to get these skins. Anyway. Thanks Blizzard.
And if you look into it, they messed up with it. Its not even called what it should be in the tab.
So maybe ask blizzard about it since it should be removed if so from priests who didnt earn it back then.
Blizzard decides even if you dont like that they actually do.
Seems more of a bug than intended if that happened.
From what the comments say it is the OP that has it and most players do not have it (checked and did not have it, even though I unlocked most of the things). So yeah sorry, there is intent from blizzard, and then there is bugs.
This is what a reskin is, a different model from the original but sharing in vision/colors/design.
No one is against recolors and reskins for those items.
I’m also going to have to say I’m sorry this is not a case of he said, she said. Simply the debate here is based on an old FOMO method of thinking. I don’t mind the fact that Blizzard promised it wouldn’t return we’re discussing potentially changing that due to the fact that many of us disagree with gatekeeping and FOMO. That is for blizzard to decide. And they have been on the side of removing it before.
Alright then we can just very simply discuss the War Wolf from the last Remix can’t we? It’s precisely the same as the current spell wing in discussion if you are obsessed with the facts and not bugs along side promises of not returning.
Sorry for not agreeing with your takes that seem to be based around your own personal belief how things should be.
In both sides, there will be people who disagree.
Some people want the old tmog back some dont. That Is Normal.
What people like me have suggested, several times even, is to make new rewards which can be RECOLORED versions of them.
You wont piss off the people who dont want the old tmog back and you will make some ppl, maybe not you, happy that atleast they get recolored versions of it.
That is a 100% different discussion and there are valid opinions around it, where FOMO can stop existing (like the new mage tower), and where it is kind of needed for certain rewards (where it does not make sense for the business to continually pay the upkeep to rebalance them each pass/expansion).
But discussing the direction of the game and the extent that people want to have FOMO events in the game or go on a more evergreen path, does not change the fact that this will be in effect for new rewards.
Technically it is a bit weird, since they choose to not bring back the wolf, but decided to bring the spellwing. From their communication it is the first time they will be bringing back an AotC mount, and their only communication about those were that they were NOT coming to the trading post.
