Hyped for Legion Remix!

what takes do blizzard is showing double standards its not a take get a life
btw i have all of the above mentioned rewards can we not do this again pls you are one of the most problematic persons ive met in the forums pls i beg you let it go bud
fr quiet youre a poet

I do have a life, thank you.
I can agree and disagree with blizzards takes aswell, but im also not just someone who looks at what I WANT and demands it to happen.

Sure you do.
Even if you really do, that changes nothing.

my guy take a look at my account or smthg i dont have to lie to you you are borderline obsseded with me prove me you have a life and quit nagging on my posts thx

You actually think im obsessed with you? Do you say that to everyone who disagrees with you? :joy:

Oh yea, you called me a hypocrit for something you made up. :+1:

actions do more then words you are proving my point…
what do you want from my interactions?
do you want to be friends we can do some 2s if you want
gold maybe? is that what you want?
some gold?

While I understand that some people might be a bit disappointed by Kaivax’s confirmation that Mage Tower Artifact appearances will NOT be obtainable in the Legion Remix, that doesn’t mean the content won’t be there to enjoy.

Who knows — maybe those appearances will be replaced with alternative, and equally cool cosmetics to obtain? A bit optimistic, perhaps, but you never know! :upside_down_face:

the problem is not the rewards its the flawed philosophy.

We can very simply Timewalk these old dungeons and once that’s in place it doesn’t need upkeep.

I understand what you’re saying you’re on the side of keeping fomo. It’s just my and a lot of other people’s opinion. And let me be very clear the side that gets NEW and RETURNING PLAYERS. we just very simply disagree. We do not want a new path of no FOMO from now on.

We want a change to the history of the game that will stop players feeling gatekept when they see awesome rewards they can never obtain because well. Unlucky you might not have even been born yet. I think that personally it’s just a fundamental flaw and an opinion for a game that is going to go on a downward spiral to losing player base my main example being the current gladiator mount obtained % being almost 6X lower than others (including season1 of TWW). This is not due to inflation but player base seeing as inflation is higher than season 1 currently and we have weeks left.

Simple case of agree to disagree thank you for your opinion and I can absolutely see where you come from. I’m just on the side of trying to get newer players and returning players to come and try a game we all love.

I’m a little torn by this.

On one hand, it sucks the mage tower skins won’t come.

On the other hand, I get to skip legion remix so I got time for other things.

Btw it is always better to talk for yourself, except when acknowledging different sides. I have met 20 year veterans that are against FOMO and want everything being available for everyone, and also met new players that get mad when they hear about removing FOMO rewards. It heavily depends on the individual about their opinions.

Btw we actually have no idea about how FOMO rewards work on player long term playing. They might contribute to players playing more, or to players playing less, there are theories for both camps. All that I am gonna say, is that even if you remove all FOMO, players are still gonna stop playing, same as if you make the game around FOMO. At the end of the day it is a game, and players will play as long as it is fun.

I am not that much in favor for or against FOMO. There are places that it makes sense, and places that it is artificial and unneeded.

where it makes sense:

  • Events (either real world or in game) that have significance of “hey i was there” (example being anniversary achievements)
  • Time limited end game challenges. Mainly those that are too costly to ensure that are maintained as evergreen (example being horrific visions and revisited visions).

But on the other hand there are cases where it does not add anything to the game:

  • Behind regular events that remove things just for the sake of it (example being a mid patch activity that tmog is removed after).
  • Where it is excessive in order to make you “fast play this weekend or lose” (looking at you collector’s bounty).

At the end of the day for the current discussion blizz is stuck between a rock and a hard place. They cannot please everyone since there are camps that want opposite things.
This is why I advocated for recolors/reskins every time. It is the best of both worlds:

  • Both old and new players have something new to look forward to
  • They can design it with it being evergreen and not based on FOMO
  • They do not go back to anything they have previously said

The content people want ain’t there, so there won’t be content to enjoy.

I’m a druid. 90 percent of the skins are locked behind mage tower.

There’s no reason for a druid to collect a recolored tier set #342, because at the end of the day, we are in a form, and we ain’t getting them now.

As a Player who hasn’t played during Legion and so missed the old weapons, I can tell you that this isn’t the right step, they should bring out both the old version and the recolour / reskin.

This would make both sides happy, since everyone has something to go for, it shouldn’t also be bound to the Event, but more so, implemented into the game itself. I wouldn’t mind if a new / returning Player gets a reward that I got. Why would I, at some point we all started the game and maybe saw something that looks cool and wanted it, it’s just discouraging to than find out that it’s no longer obtainable.

I can agree and disagree on this.

Just not true really it’s very clear if you look at other mmos such as a clicker game (all wow’s content creator’s are playing atm and even turning down MOP partnered streams to play  Clip from Savix you can easily find) that’s doing very well right now. No FOMO being a huge selling point and primary source of advertisement. IF you’re good enough to beat it you should have it. Simple as.

Your personal experiences of players you’ve met do matter and I’m thankful for you sharing those points. However as we can see a clear lack in PVP participation an all time low. Which was in my original post and the previous one. I can clearly say that while this might be true. A change for more active involvement and old cosmetics is desperately sought after by PVP’ers even those who own most items. As we can see from the recently uploaded Mystical monk video reception and venruki’s reaction to it.

Anniversary achievements are fine honestly makes sense to me it’s an achievement it makes no difference to us in reality it’s just something to cool link.

The damage is done when it’s a major cosmetic such as mage tower feral forms. Glorious Tyranny / Demonic tyranny / Dreadflame weapon illusions.

Almost every single one of my friends quit when they found out they are never to be obtained again.

Anyway I appreciate your points but I have to disagree. I think the Blizz isn’t really stuck it’s quite clear from feedback in this post. And if they need further evidence a poll should be sent out and let us the community help them decide with a set passing rate that is stated before it’s sent out.

No sorry, there are some players that actually value things that the accomplish and want to keep the “achievement” of having those exclusive items.

I can respect the opinion of “I want to have those things that are removed and are cool”, but you cannot say that “everyone would be satisfied with that”.

This is the reason why I wrote what I quoted. Blizzard has to either go “around” what they said and “bring back” those items as recolors/reskins, or just plain outright go back on their word and have a massive backlash.

Yes to this

Not really suprised since they didn’t bring back the challenge modes for MoP remix so i see no reason as to why they would bring back the mage tower for this.

do you see reason to bring back a curve mount?

I love how mage tower skins being afk for five minutes is considered an achievement and the aotc mount ain’t lmao.

legit crazy double standard
im telling you there’s a dev that’s missing a few items and he is the one choosing what comes back…
