And there are other games where FOMO is rampant and are actually thriving. I have my opinion, that FOMO is never a factor for playing sticking to the game, since most of the time after “unlocking” something, a player will lose interest to 90% of his collection (apart to the 10% that he uses). But I very much acknowledge that this is just personal opinion and I have no stats to support it, so I will not base my feedback on that.
That being an example. When a player quits because of a reason like that, I am inclined to believe that he would also quit shortly after getting that appearance. I would not count the fact that this player stopped playing as having anything to do with that appearance.
And that is the reason for recolors and reskins (which blizzard understood with the fel bear). You can introduce near identical alternatives to those appearances that people can substitute for their tmog etc, without blizz going back on their word.

Point being we don’t see all of wow’s content creators hopping over to those games do we now. We see them going right to the one that I had mentioned. It’s much more relevant when it’s actual pillars of our community leaving and swapping. You understand this right?
Not opposed to both coming however the fact still remains FOMO do be FOMO with a recolour it’s either all or nothing.

Well lets be honest, there will always be people that are gonna be butthurt, even so, it doesnt take away their achievement at all, they still have the memory of when they earned it
Why not share those things, I always take Mounts as example, someone could have X amount of tries to get a specific Mount and another person gets it after the first try, or maybe even for free with some Event.
Blizzard wouldn’t get Backlash if people would stop gatekeeping others from obtaining something, we gotta be a bit open as Community and welcome people in instead of fighting against them.
In my opinion, a Memory has more Value than the actual Item. Even if someone else gets it, you wont lose your Memory of how you got it, how you felt in that moment etc. In the End this is just a game and those Items are skins, let people have them, let people grind for them but don’t keep them locked just because some people are butthurt that their “exclusive Item” is obtained by people that haven’t played during that time.

Well, regardless of what info they would give, it would kill the “joy” for certain people.
I for one are looking forward to see what kind of new tmog they will be putting in for Legion Remix. Hope for some recolored versions of Antorus set but wouldnt cry if it didnt. ^^
I am however scared about character limits. I rly dont want to end up deleting characters for it.
Their choice to ignore what players want, it makes the game unfun! It is what it is happening!

It’s simple, old FOMO creates the precedent for new FOMO. It shows that they’re willing to keep old stuff unobtainable to try and incentivize players to get current season’s stuff before it’s gone for good.
Moderately hyped. Legion was a great expansion! The storyline I think was the best of all the expansions so far. Not sure that I’ll get into it though - time is limited.
