They just don’t really look like the Harry Potter movies design.

I suppose gryphons in WoW look quite similar to the harry potter hippogryph design.

Alunira requires 10 crackling shards dropped from various mobs / rares. I got most of mine by switching on Warmode (to reduce number of other players) and running the following rares in a loop as they have short respawn times that matches with travel time:
Springbubble
Sandres
Bloodmaw
Rustul Titancap
Takes a while though, expect 45 mins to an hour per shard. One of the best looking mounts in the game.
