Just was asking myself… What would you pick from the vault if a 2H 278 weapon and a 278 tier piece was in it? Assuming the upgrade in ilvl is the same.

I would pick weapon for sure
you can use low ilvl tier if you are going for bonus
Definitely weapon. Worst case scenario you ‘have to use’ a 272 version of the tier piece that you crafted yourself.
It’d honestly depend on what sort of stuff I have in both gear slots. While in the long term the weapon is my BiS that I would never replace, I’ll pick a replacement for a 236 chest instead of one for a 272 weapon any time, for example.

Weapon is only a stat stick.
Then it’s going to be weapon. The tier bonus does not scale with item level.
Weapon, it’s the most valuable part and you can even use LFR version for 4 piece.
Tier, I don’t seem to be able to get any so damn well taking it if it’s in the vault.

No, you can use the catalyst to make tier pieces. Weapon might not drop for a long time again.
Weapon you do once probably, tier pieces you need more.
i would pick a weapon because we will craft tier sets in the future. farm head, shoulder, chest … gear now to transform it later
thats not a choice - 100 % weapon .
Depends wheter or not you are solo or team player and if u raid .
If u raid u pick tier just so u can trade with guild , also if u raid chances are u will have tier sooner and 4pc is bigger up than wep.
If u solo u pick wep unless its your 4pc set . ( 2 for some specs)
Weapon, provided it’s a proper 2 hander. Catalyst will soon unlock anyways meaning if you have the flux and S3 pieces on the slots in question, you’ll be able to convert and upgrade them.
There is no way to do so with weapons, unless of course, PvP is concerned. (Assuming PvE here.)

Weapon, as Dunkiee said, Catalyst means you don’t have to worry about looting tier.
Im one piece off four set and got a 272 weapon early on so if it was the right slot id take tier

anyways, i would take wep. unless i played a class that become OP from having 4 tier set. and only then if i had 3 pieces from before that.
Take wep. u can soon craft tiers anyways, and if u still need tiers u far behind ppl anyways, Take wep.
