Hypwespawn farm for mats

So, I’ve stumbled upon a few hyperspawn spots with earth/water/fire/air elementals throughout Dragon Isles and a bunch of people farming them for mats. I have 2 questions:

  1. Is it bannable to farm those, or am I safe to participate?
  2. Is it cool if i just stand there with no party and tag along the mobs, or do I HAVE TO have a party? On one hand it’s not like anyone can claim a spot for himself, but on the other hand I kinda benefit from people aggro’ing mobs.

You can just farm mobs to grind for mats. What is bannable is exploiting something, which farming in itself isn’t.

  1. It’s not bannable to farm mobs if your abiding to the ToS (not using hacks/cheats/exploits etc).
  2. Being in a group will help farm quicker and ensure you can loot all the mobs tagged by the group.

But be careful with groups as they could be bots, so you don’t want to join them. It can be a bt risky if you try farm where bot groups are farming too as they have a habbit of reporting you if you get in their way.

Also there may be bots doing it so be careful, if people report the bots you may get lumped in.

being in a group makes them spawn even faster so it helps with the gold you farm but yeah people might report you as a bot and you might get banned because of the awful automated ban system. also i don’t think they’d bring much gold at this point of expansion , or do they ?

I did an casual farm on mobs that drop air and water for 1 hour solo a few weeks back and it netted me around 12k gold. Could have been much more if i was in a group and put more effort into it… but i was doing it purely out of bordem :joy: They still sell very well.

So, in theory it’s legal, but in practice you can be banned for it…
In short: it’s not worth the hustle then.

You wont get banned ignore the doomsayers, You can’t get lumped in with botters they literally have programs that detect botting if your account isn’t botting and doesn’t fall under the same IP they wont do anything too you and will also look at ur activity to see if theirs patterns which their wont be.

The chance of being banned for botting is miniscule, it’s just been blown out of proportion in this thread. You can safely farm and if anyone does appear to be inspecting the group, talk to them, don’t emote, just ask if they want an invite.

You won’t get banned for it.

Well its about as likely as you being arrested for being in the general vicinity of criminals irl.

You can farm those, thats no problem. I’d be careful tho if you try to tag mobs of a 2x4 farm group or a multiboxxer they might mass report you out of spite

Surprised Blizz has literally done nothing against the “hyper spawning” that typically benefits botters. I’d be in favour of diminishing drops till those hyper spawned mobs drop nothing for those farmers.

or you know… they could just ban the bots xd

if its automated bots report them…they get banned in a week and can make 10 accounts new in the money earned until got band

A week? That’s optimistic, I’ve seen reported bots farming for more than a solid month straight… :hushed:
