I am considering starting shadowlands on my rogue. What covenant would recommend?

So when checked covenants there are only 2 real options for my rogue.
Either Kyrian or Venthyr.
Necrolord gear looks only good on scourge-inspired characters and night fea aka sylvari from gw2. They are only good for druids.
Since I will be playing Rogue I was considering the look of leather armor for both covenants, they both look good, same goes for weapons.
So I am wondering when it comes to the story which is better? Kyrian or Venthyr.
Venthyr is like a vampire- high society type from what I gathered.
On the other hand, kyrian claim to be holy etc but inside are self-righteous.
So which one would you recommend?

Pick the one you find the most aesthetically pleasing.

Venthyr cosmetics suit better for rogues imo, i used kyrians for cloth wearing classes also the quests are so much fun

You can level up all of them eventually if you are going to put in a lot of time. So you can’t really make a wrong choice.

There is also renown catch up for the other covenants once you’ve maxed your first. You can go to the vendor by the flightpath in Oribos and buy renown skips.

I am interested in the quality of quests, the overall quality of the story, and the looks of weapons and armor.

So the story is far more interesting then? Good to know.
Venthyr gear looks more like it was made for an assassin.
On the other hand, kyrian also suits alliance character since it is blue and shiny.

In that case I would probably recommend venthyr. I was put off it initially by the large groups of mobs in the city when I’d just levelled but you soon get past that, especially when you can fly.

My main was Kyrian and the end game stuff isn’t great - fighting mobs as someone else without your own spells etc which to me was pointless. I had liked it up until then though some of the NPCs are just a bit too pious.

Personally, I found the Venthyr quests to be more enjoyable overall. Kyrian does have a couple of good moments like the very first campaign quest where you get to ferry a soul to Oribos, but I did enjoy the overall experience on Venthyr side more. Kyrian quests somehow felt a bit repetitive after a while.

Regarding armours and weapons: as others have said, out of all covenants Venthyr probably suits Rogues the best. Lots of dark hues, greys, blacks and reds. More gothic inspired aesthetics. Kyrian on the other hand is very Light oriented. Great transmogs for more Priestly or Paladin-y characters, but not that fitting for Rogues IMO.

Overall, I’d choose Venthyr for the overall look and feel and the general quality of the quests/campaign

Unless you want to have an owl friend. Then you have to be Kyrian. The one thing I miss from Shadowlands is my owl buddy
