"I am Draka, and I am so BIG!"

Seriously Blizzard, I expected the Maldraxxus episode of Afterlives to be as revealing (as far as the game lore is concerned) as the first episode with Bastion was.

In the first episode, we learnt what Uther did to Arthas and how the Forsworn rebels came to be, and we also learned that the Light itself cannot stop Frostmourne (the Maw) from taking a soul, to the point that it has to divide it.

What did we learn in the second episode that we didn’t already know? Yes, it showed the various houses of Maldraxxus being decimated and turn against each other, but that has already been revealed in the Beta. Why didn’t we learn anything about the fate of the Primus? Why didn’t we learn anything about the magic that Maldraxxians wield?

The only thing that I heard and saw in this episode was Draka and her cringe monologue . Basically the whole episode was all about how Draka is so “stronk” that she is the “key” and kills and slaps and explodes all of her foes with the power of…of her strong and iron will. Well guess what: Congratulations to her strength and will, but : Who in the world cares about this character and especially about her arrogant boasting of her so, so big muscles? Yes, Anduin may never be the man Draka was/is, but come on. We want to learn about the Shadowlands, not some woman who has a body more masculine than Lor’themar Theron’s.

This gives me the sucpicion that a political agenda is the reason of Draka’s projection that ruined this episode. I won’t describe this agenda, but I believe we all know which one it is. You took it too far this time. It reminds me of when you released a whole hero in Heroes of the Storm that never existed in the Blizzard games , just to suit the political views of whoever threatened you to propagandize them.

No one likes all of this. Stop it. I hope the next episode of Ardenweald provides us with information of how the zone is connected to the Dream, information about Elune, and not information of how the Winter Queen boosts her self-esteem and never shaves her armpit hair.

NOTE: I had posted this before and it got deleted, guess why. Virtue singaling and censorship don’t help the “right” ideas to be more widely accepted. On the contrary, these methods make them more hated than embraced. Flagging a post and deleting it because it “offended” you cancels the values of democracy and the meaning of the word “FORUM”. A forum is a place where you voice your opinion. I believe people have the ability to judge and think critically, your “protection” for them is an excuse for censorship and the forcible projection of ideas.

Why are you focusing on her body so much?
This post just reads as you being angry she’s strong.

Draka was extremely cool as far back as the Lord of the Clans book. She is just who she is: a bold, head-strong woman. No clue why you find that cringey and shoved in…
Also, strange how you say the Maldraxxus short was all about Draka when the Bastion cinematic sounds more about the whole Uther/Arthas/Devos deal.

It might be futile to lay my point. I just had to post this, sorry.

Thralls mom is hot
Also she is a rogue who wears plate and hangs out with black metal fans in a radioactive wasteland plus they all respect her abilities
As I said she is hot :fire:

Unless you agree with him, it’ll always be futile. You can tell he’s one of those people.

Is that supposed to be a joke? What I am saying right here is how the episode was WASTED. It could have given us information about the lore, or EVEN Draka’s character. But we didn’t learn even about her. Instead, we only saw a monologue boasting her traits. That is what frustrated me, and I use the example of her “strong” body to make fun of this boasting. But what could I expect from someone with no arguements other than a comment on the way I express my point?

“Those people” who have an opinion and don’t agree with the philosophy of relativity. What about you? Would I ever be able to talk sense to you? Wouldn’t my efforts be futile? They would, believe me.

Voicing youre opinion is all good and well but to be honest these days it seems everyone has a opinion about everything. So i am going to ask you a question what is your point with this thread? do you really think blizzard will take this into consideration and make another video about it?

That is what an opinion is basically, lol.

No, I am just expressing my disappointment about this episode of Afterlives, because:
In the Bastion episode we learnt something about the powers of the Light and Frostmourne, and what Uther did to Arthas (we knew he did something but we did not know what). You may have not found this interesting at all, but it is NEW.
What did the second episode tell us that we did NOT know already? That Draka learned how to stealth and that she changed a House in Maldraxxus? WE KNEW THAT ALREADY. These animated series are supposed to be a bit exciting, with new, fresh spoliers! What we saw yesterday was NOT a spoiler.

Ah so your complaining for the sake of complaining, got it thanks.

For the sake of finding sane people who would like to learn more of the cosmology of the Shadowlands as well (or even about characters, but things that we did not know) instead of how Draka trained and became a Baroness. It is not strange for someone to be disappointed about getting an episode that didn’t reveal any new lore content, but instead gave us something we had already learnt from the datamining, with the only new thing being the drawing illustration! Liking the last episode is like being hyped for seeing Sylvanas’ death in the “Warbringers: Sylvanas” flashback. But you know what happens, and it is just underwhelming.

Well go read the story books then if you have not already chronicle book 1 to 3 those have some information i believe about the shadowlands no need to complain on the forums though.

I personally found the Maldraxxus short to be a bit meh compared to Bastion, primarily because personally I feel like out of all characters that could be associated with what has so far been heavily marketed as the Skellington covenant, Draka was probably the last character I expected for it.

That said, I find it really strange and kinda cringe to be hating on the short soley because of her body/because it’s a female character. This feels like the angry incel-sounding gamerboy rant of “Muh women cant have muscles” that the TLOU2 had.

You’re gonna be peeved when Shadowlands launches. The only content has been datamined already!!

I didn’t hate the episode because of a woman, I am no misogynist, nor did I hate the episode because of her strength and muscles. But these things were the MAIN THEME of the episode, the only thing that we kept hearing of was her SELF-BOASTING MONOLOGUE. And that reminds me of some activist women whose name I will not reference here as I might get flagged. It starts with “FEM”. I am mad at the episode because of this “meh” that you yourself admitted to have felt. This “meh” of the episode giving us nothing new and interesting was made even worse by her arrogant monologue. This is why I comment on her body. Again, if you read my post, I don’t criticize her for being a woman or being muscular, I criticize her for the arrogant self-boasting monologue. HOW MANY TIMES must I repeat these words? “Arrogance”. “Self-projection”. And nothing else. No new lore insights. Nothing of it.

These videos are for the general people, most of which probably avoid the beta and any spoilers.
This can be seen as non-spoilers as it’s official blizzard released material.
