Well that’s the same feeling I had in Legion with your class and its fandom 
I love my dragons leave them alone
That’s the whole point, we got the spotlight in Legion, you got it in dragonflinght, let’s none of us be the recycled feature in TWW.
We had enough Dragons, let’s tune it down now please.
But as far as I know they are only opening more class options because people asked for it, they also left a plot hole for Iridikon so we need that solved first before we move on.
I mean, you can’t exactly heal wounds with Fel magic. The only third spec I can see making sense for Demon Hunters would be a spec that shifts between casting and melee wearing a scythe.
Are you fed up with dragons, or are you fed up with elves with slight draconic features slowtalking to eachother and sometimes maybe they turn into a dragon?
As for the dracthyr having gotten the spotlight in dragonflight?
I disagree, they barely got any lore, it was just introduced and ok thats it no more lore for you
Other races (night elves) got more lore then the dracthyr in the dracthyrs own expansion.

I love dragons, that’s why I got into WoW proper, first time I ranked Emeriss I was super proud of the achievement. I don’t even tell people I’m playing wow I just tell them I’m off slaying dragons
That is a fair Point, maybe I’m fed up with the “dragons” not Dragons.

In the Illidan novel, there are passages that describe DH training. It mentioned that they learn how to use multiple weapons, and seeing that they’re all elves, you’d think bows would be a part of their arsenal… Some hybrid melee/range class could be interesting. Especially after the latest animated short with Alleria showed her using the bladed bits of her bow as a melee weapon. Could be cool, you swoop in, shooting fel arrows, do some mad uppercut blade hit thing, couple of slashes, bounce out of range, keep shooting. Sounds like an absolute nightmare to balance heh!

Expansions get loved or hated after they were relevant. mainly due to opponents. Wrath stands out for Undead but Cata the Dragon Expac is forgotten.
