Since a new patch came life and it was possible to catch up a little gear wise. I just finished doing 20 arena wins and got my box and rating ready.
So I thought I may as well try to do 1-2 mythic+ for the free item.
After just running a few low ones, I started to really enjoy getting rewarded for little effort with good items and it made me look forward to the next one.
It’s even possible to get strong corrupted items in there.
However when I went to bed I realized something. Not only did I not get any item in the 20 arena wins. I didn’t even looked forward to it / expected it. The item I would get in maybe 50 wins would be useless anyway and I probably have a better one from mythic + by now it will replaced it the next day. But like I said I don’t even think about getting items outsite of the pvp Box anymore.
It kinda made me sad that basically Iam playing pvp for the sake of pvp and that while I know I am just getting frustrated if we face any destro lock cleave or a heroic raider demonhunter.
Basically the game play is bad , there is no reward. It makes me want to change to mythic + instead , but somehow I just feel disgusted
Does anyone know of atleast corrupted items can drop in pvp? That would be a little light

TL;DR: “M+ should not give the filthy, vile, casual scrubs the same reward as us pro experts doing Mythic Raids and Rated Arena.”

Though M+ rewards may be a little bit overtuned by design, it’s not bad at all. In current realities M+ the best option for semi-hardcore gals out there that have less than 5 hrs/day to dive into raids.
As for PvP: since separated PvP gear concept and stats got removed, and since personal loot became the only option, PvE also became the best way to gear up. You can hate it, but still. Just deal with it. PvP gearing concept is just awful in its current state.
It’s a perfectly reasonable statement.

Considering m+ rewards are massivly nerfed this patch, and the difficoulty has shot up a lot. No, it’s really not.

Did you ever take a look at PvP rewards by any chance?
The amount of efforts and RNG involved? The required rating to get half-decent ilvl, with a random piece every 20 arenas or so?

Atleast i get 460 pvp weekly at reset and chance of getting 445 items at arena wins. i feel that quite decent when there is no titanforging.
To bad random bgs only gives 425, before this atleast u could have juicy titan if u played alot.
And? They should fix the pvp rewards and not ruin m+ just for the sake of 1% of the playerbase that no one cares about.

I know, but that means they should ruin m+ rewards for fun instead of fixing PvP rewards ? Big brain moves.

Because nobody cares about pvp. I dont even know why pvp is still a thing at this point.
Maybe u don’t care but others do.

M+ has been my thing since it was introduced in Legion. I’ve always preferred small-group content because everyone has to pull their weight and it is (can be) a social activity if you play with a pool of people. I’d not be subscribed without M+.
M+ has provided incentive for me to grow as a player and with RIO you even have a mini game and instant feedback about where you stand relative to others. I’ve never been really good at M+ (up to +16/17 this season), but still, M+ keeps me on my toes and actually makes me want to improve.
I also like that it’s something I can do without having to commit to a schedule, doesn’t have to take several hours, and there is no weekly loot lockout.
That is an issue with PvP rewards and has nothing to do with M+. PvP rewards aren’t poorly designed because M+ rewards are better designed.
Yes, as a PvPer you may have to do M+ or raid. It’s often been like this in the past, too. I didn’t always enjoy doing arenas for the Conflict & Strife rune, nor a PvP Island for Blood of the Enemy, but it’s a great essence for PvE too, and so I did it anyway.
It’s a pretty weird way to say that you don’t care about it. Others obviously do so try to keep these statements inside because it’s just not true.
There is not so much wrong with M+ loot, but the PvP-loot is way off
M+ can easily be harder than non-mythic raiding
I actually didn’t intend to complain about m+ giving to much loot. It’s more about how it feels good to get any kind of reward at all for doing something .
Playing mostly arena for such a long time made me forget how it feels to hope for a item after your run. Knowing that there probably will be one and the chance of it to be usable is also high.
And feeling happy like this , compared to how Arena makes you feel reward wise. That’s what disgusts me

PvP was never rewarded properly for the time investment put in WoW
M+ players also play for the fun of M+. We haven’t got any item for 4 months from it. You feel rewarded because your ilvl is at this moment lower than the reward you get. With playing M+ for a couple of weeks this is gone in M+ too.

M+ rewards are fine, PvP rewards just suck*
Fixed it for u babes
Second that.
In second and third seasons I was running M+ only for iScore cause I knew that getting titanforge from chests or weeklies are like ULTRA rare, and I don’t want to expect those. But when I getting that nice ladder steps in iScore that is what was a matter for me (as well is for you in PvP I assume)
